Our group was happy with food. I ordered crab cakes Benedict and was very disappointed that it was imitation crab.

Ate here for breakfast while on vacation and enjoyed it so much that we went back for lunch the following day. Great food, great portions for the price, excellent service. Was very happy with everything that my group of 5 ate. Will definitely return next time we're in the area!

Located in a beautiful historic building in the quaint lakeside village of Sylvan Beach. The enormous lemon blueberry pancakes are the best I've ever had! Even the short stack are too much to finish at the table, necessitating a take-with box. The service is prompt and friendly. We will definitely revisit when we return next summer for our week at the Cove.

Great little place for breakfast. Tracy was patient and helpful making sure we didn't get separate pancake kids meals for each one of our kids because those pancakes are massive. This place is a must if you're vacationing in the area.

Wasn't impressed by the service at all, but by the time we left, the waitress that decided to help us, was excellent. Leading up to that, the first 15 minutes, was rough. They weren't prepared for guests even though they had been open for 30 minutes by the time we got there and the place was only 1/4 full with what looked like 5 waitresses on staff. We weren't greeted. We weren't asked for our drink orders. I had to flag someone down and ask for coffees and who our waitress was- and we were sitting at the counter :( someone handed menus to us from behind as they were walking by, and didn't even say hello or good morning. Thank you Bella for rescuing us! Food was excellent and bella saved this place from getting 2 stars from me. Based mostly on the first 15 minutes and almost leaving because we fet more like a bother than patrons. She may have convinced me to go back just to try the pancakes, but if I walk in and don't see her smiling face, I'm turning around and walking back out. :):):)

Stopped in for a Sunday breakfast place was packed, however we had no wait and we're seated almost immediately. Service was a little slow which was expected by how busy they were but the food and mimosas made up for it. Everything we ordered was above standard. A nice little breakfast spot in a cute little beach town would recommend if you are in the area.

Food is amazing, staff was good. 3 stars due to insane prices. I understand good food costs good money. $20per person for normal breakfast food is simply too much for me.

Very cozy place with tasty food! They also have gluten free substitutions for pancakes and french toast, which was AMAZING! Having creamer options in addition to the normal half and half for coffee was awesome as well. Truly feel like they want you to enjoy your morning. Would absolutely recommend it for a nice breakfast experience. :)

Today is our last day at Slyvan Beach and I have been eye balling this place all week. With our prearranged schedule with my mother in law, it's been hard to get in for breakfast. Well, today's the day.
I looked on Google to see what time they opened. It said they open at 8:30 on Tuesdays. That's wrong, they open at 7:30 like every other day. So, we totally could have went there earlier but 8:30 was still great for us.
This venue is absolutely cute! I love all the tables for outside dining in the front. It was a little muggy out this morning so we opted to sit inside. Walking inside, I love how charming this place is! I can tell this used to be a bar in it's previous life. The way they remodeled it to change it to what it is now is just beautiful! I love the breakfast bar area. I really wanted to sit there but my daughter wanted a booth.
Adeline greeted us with her beautiful smile after we sat. She got drinks started while we looked over the menu. The menu is quite broad and they have a little of everything.
For breakfast I ordered the rise and shine. Your traditional breakfast of eggs, toast, home fries and toast. My daughter got the crab cakes and eggs. While we waited for breakfast, we enjoyed coffee and orange juice. The coffee wasn't the hottest but it was still good with the vanilla creamer.
Breakfast came out on huge plates. Everything looked so good, especially the home fries. I'm a sucker for potatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly, nice and runny in the middle, the toast was buttery, the home fries had a nice light char on them and soft in the middle. I did get a side of sausage gravy for my home fries but it didn't tickle my fancy, The potatoes were good without it. I did get to try some of my daughter's crab cake. It was very tasty! I initially was going to get the crab cakes but I got a couple bites of my daughter's so win win on having a little of everything.
I also got a ham breakfast melt to go for my husband. It was so good I went back and ordered another one for my sons. Both sammys were demolished.
I think it's a must go come to the Pancake House while you're visiting Slyvan Beach. The venue is darling. The staff is super sweet. And they push out good food! You can't get any better than that. I look forward to eating here the next time we are visiting.
