The Lake House at Sylvan Beach

Didn't care for special, and couldn't go outside because of the bees. Other than that it was good for off season meal at beach.

Beautiful even off season few places to get some food and walk on the beach ❤️ parking close ... Love summers there too

Oh my goodness! Do yourself a favor and go to the Lake House in Sylvan Beach, NY. We stopped in specifically because I had a hankering for a fancy cocktail. Carter was behind the bar and recommended his most recent concoction which is being added to the fall menu. The “Dressed to Empress” is so delicious! A little on the sweet side it also satisfies the palette’s need for boozy yumminess. I never would have thought to pair gin with lavender and coconut. Pure genius!

Very small and very hard to win anything at this casino, been their a few times and have played a 20 and not won even a few cents.

I was forced to eat here by my partner. I didn't want go to the shore or watch the East Coast Watercross finals. I didn't want to be served by Marcus. I was reading James Leszak's review just when Marcus appeared. But the duo playing live music was phenomenal. The food delicious. The service top notch. I told Marcus I just read how horrible he was. I told him he had to redeem himself. This was Saturday evening just before Sunset. Marcus recommended the Shrimp rice bowl with jalapeno and it was seeded so it's spicy. She had the fish platter. Marcus made my regular tea sweet with simple syrup and kept the napkins and drinks coming up until the very end. And there's slots at the casino which we didn't play. We didn't hear anyone win either though we were caught up in the views music and ambience. Listen to your wife. And Marcus was more than good. Marcus was a delight but then restaurant wasn't extremely busy.

Spent the evening here Saturday night, Carter the bartender is fantastic. Very attentive and the drinks were amazing. My cousin I each had a raspberry lemon drop martini (a must have) and green tea shots.

Food was very good. Sat outside, bit windy but to be expected. Service was a bit slow at first, but then was fine. We will go again.

The bar tender Carter is great makes wicked drinks the way they are supposed to be made orhers could learn from him

Yelp listed this spot as dog-friendly, but unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to sit outside with our pup. We ended up going elsewhere — The Crazy Clam who welcomed us (and our pup!) with open arms and served up great food and drinks. It was disappointing not being allowed into the Lake House, though, because so many people travel with their dogs (they’re family too!), and by not allowing them, the restaurant is really limiting its customer base. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My wife and I went there for dinner after paying to park we were told that we had to wait ten minutes for a table. There were several tables open and after twenty minutes we decided to leave. There were about four to five waiters that I saw so the lack of help is not an excuse. We have been to the Cove many times and the staff is very friendly and take care of you quickly. I would not go to the Lake House if you plan on being taken care of before your time runs out on your parking ticket.

We docked at the wall in the canal, its a 10 minute walk to the Lake House
The staff is courteous, restaurant is neat and tidy
Our server Genae was excellent, very attentive, she had good suggestions and input with drinks, dinner and dessert
Food was great, prepared well - pricing is reasonable

Waited for well over an hour for a table for our party. Then over and hour for our food. Food was good. Service was good. Just a long wait for everything...

Our sever Carter was awesome! This is a gorgeous place. Highly recommend
