Reviews for Big in Burma

I have had the tea leaf salad, noodle salad, as well as the burmese fried rice. The tea leaf salad is a really unique dish with very interesting textures. I really enjoyed it and have gone back to have it again. It is a decent portion size as well. The noodle salad I also enjoyed; I didn't expect cold noodles to be so good but they really work in a salad format. In fact, they taste better cold as when I heated them up later, they didn't taste quite as good. Unfortunately, full review

Loved their tea leaf salad. Wonderful blend of flavors and crunch. Noodle salad wasn't the best. I would go back for the tea leaf for sure. The chicken curry and rice is decent. Not as spicy as I would have liked and certainly not comparable to NYC standards but decent for the area. The fried shrimp paste in the dish was a nice addition and the salad was nice and tangy.

I ordered takeout one night. I was in the mood for something light, so I went straight for the salad menu. Honestly, it was hard choosing because there were so many interesting options. I went with the ginger salad, which consisted of shredded pickled ginger, cabbage, tomato, crispy mixed bean, fried garlic, sesame seed, peanut, chickpea powder, fish sauce, dry prawns, and lime. It was such an interesting flavor profile, and I loved the crunch of the peanut. The portion was filling, full review
