No one spoke English and wouldn't serve us

It may not look it from the outside but this restaurant is a culinary gem and Syracuse is lucky to have such a traditional Chinese (northeast China) restaurant in our own backyard. I lived in China for over 5 years and this is the best Chinese bbq that I've had since being back in the US. This restaurant's food is very traditional and maybe not every single item on the menu would appeal to every American but if you like bbq, especially dry rubs, then I guarantee you that you can find something on this menu that you'll love!

I've never had a bad dish here and the people are really friendly. It's my favorite spot when I want to fill up on food I feel good about. Doesn't hurt it's close to SU.

One of the most legit Chinese food places in Syracuse. Not those place where everything is glazed with sweet & sour sauce with broccoli.

(Translated by Google) It’s good to be finished, little brothers, this is simply the northeastern canteen in Syracuse?

Awesome place! The outside might look a little uninviting but once you go in the staff are very friendly and the food is generally top quality. One of the best Chinese food in the area 撸串好地方!

Tried the BBQ. Got beef, lamb and wings. Good Smokey, grilled flavor with a complex dry rub. But everything had the same rub and couldn't tell the difference between the beef and lamb. Very small pieces of meat on skewers; a bit overcooked. Tasty but the meat seamed lower quality cut and not well trimmed... Lots of chewy, tough grissle. Wings are cut and skewered. There were allot of Tony bone fragments in my small order. Take out presentation very lacking.

OMG this is the best thing I've ever eaten! Pork ribs with Garlic and Chiles.. can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Tried this place out for dinner but wasn't impressed. We had the lamb skewers and stewed tendon. The skewers were ok good for Syracuse chinese food standards, but the tendon was not worth it's price of 18 dollars. Might just do some take out skewers next time, if there is a next time. Also wouldn't recommend for people how aren't looking for traditional chinese food.

This wasn't what I expected, but it was still tasty. So being that I travel a lot, I was kind of hoping for a Yakatori style restaurant. This restaurant is a straight Chinese BBQ. Now I need to be very clear, this particular style is not sweet. It's a very spicy style bbq. All of the meats are dry rubbed with spice. The menu is pretty vast and and has a wide variety of different items you can pick for your bbq. I would say there is about 20 or so. They range from beef, chicken, fish, and squid to veggies and bread. They also have chef dishes that are large and not the bbq style. The prices are kind of all over the price. While the bbq items are very reasonable, some of there other prices are strange. One of the odd ones was the 12 steamed dumplings for 12 bucks. They were tasty, but most dumplings don't cost that much. Also some of their chef dishes were 18-30 bucks. The bbq items are only $1.50-$5 per item. They also don't have hot tea (very odd) or iced water for free. They only have cooler drinks like bottled water, soda, etc. I think this restaurant will be very successful, but just remember their food is spicy. The guy at the counter told me at the end that I could get less spicy next time. Also some of them speak very little English, so if you have a friend or family member fluent in Mandarin it will help you a lot. I definitely recommend coming here as the food is pretty authentic and tasty.
