After Covid they went down hill I assume that’s why they closed the rest of their cafes. Inconsistent coffee, slow to get it, changed their food menu 100 different times. They used to have solid coffee and sandwiches. Once they opened the north Syracuse location it was all down hill. No one could make a regular iced latte consistent it never had enough syrup and I’m not a sweet person but I like a bit of vanilla in my latte never had a problem until that location. Service was extremely slow and something was always being messed up in an order. Also once they got rid of the breakfast bagel sandwiches and got those god awful “pockets” 🤢. No longer can enjoy a small coffee shop latte no one good left.

Came on a Sunday morning and it was busy. However the place was very short staff and running out of everything. Not cool. However the breakfast sandwich was amazing

Disappointing after visiting the James St. location. The breakfast wrap came out cold in the center and half the size of the one I had a few days before. The cookies were over baked (maybe just a bad batch). My hot tea was served cold, but they fixed it right away. It has a different vibe, too. Not as casual and cool.

Always have staffing issues. And seriously please make the first thing you teach people that make food what “toasted” means. This is the 2nd or 3rd time now I asked for a *toasted* bagel and I even broke it down bc they’re always so confused about it, I said to toast until it’s lightly browned and has some crunch not soft but not dark bc apparently you realllyyyyy need to be specific for them and even so my bagel doesn’t feel or taste like it even touched a toaster. I really don’t understand why it’s so difficult to do. Now I had to nuke it in the microwave to get some heat and honestly at that point I could have brought a bagel and cream cheese from home and made it correctly in my work kitchen. The whole point of ordering it and paying and picking it up is so I didn’t need to make it myself. Please make one of your interview questions, “what does toasted mean to you?” Bc if they can’t toast a bagel, they shouldn’t be working there.

Spacious coffee cafe with plenty of seatings. There are ready-to-drink and decaf options. Pet friendly.

Great coffee shop. Nothing else to say. Syracuse is lucky to have this place.

I've been coming to Cafe Kubal for years. I went this morning, about 7:10. There was one person working so a bit of a wait. I expected a tasty hot cup of freshly brewed Sumatra. It was luke warm. I could have said something but it was acknowledged to the guy in front of me that it didn't seem too hot. I bought it anyway so my bad. Anyway, the quality is slipping which is unfortunate. It's great when it's good but the consistency isn't there.

I'll be back later for a cappuccino. Here's hoping it meets the mark.

Back when it was the original shop on James street, they trained their baristas and actually had a repor with their customers. It used to feel like a gem of sophistication but now it feels like a place that hasn’t seen any real competition or love in years. Really needs to get back to basics.

A reflection of true coffee shop feel that emboldens good price for a cup of "different" Java where you feel welcome to the surprise of actually having somewhere to get out of the home. Take a minute and see The World from a different point of view before stepping back out into madness...

First time here, decided to be adventurous and ask lovely young lady behind the counter to make me her favorite iced coffee. The coffee is amazing! Did not disappoint. Idk what it’s called but I’m getting another one before I leave. Prices are pretty good too! Friendly atmosphere!
