“This. Place. Rocks. I may be biased since I prefer my food fresh, healthy, AND delicious. (I know, right?) The decor is skater hip, with upbeat fun music and — get this — full glass windows on a busy street corner. Whether you eat in alone or with others, your eyeballs, ear holes, and taste buds will all be super stimulated and satisfied. The only complaint I have (a nit, really) is that I noticed on their website that the list of locations numbers only one, Syracuse, NY. Now, I’m not casting anything cantankerous or mean-spirited (e.g., aspersions), but come on, Syracuse! Please share this culinary wealth and add more locations. Other than that, Original Grain made my brief visit to the city (again, not casting or knocking here, only beseeching with gratitude sprinkled with envy). Thank you, OG for the superb lunch! You will forever hold a special place in my heart … and I await your arrival in my neck of the world (apology for the weird metaphor ?).“

“Ok came here on a whim one evening, this restaurant is reached by a winding underground tunnel and finally a grand staircase. When my guests and I reached the top, the host asked us if we had a reservation, we said no, but they found us a table. The ambiance is nice. Our table even had a small flower placed in a ketchup bottle. The dress code is relaxed casual. It is refreshing to take your shoes off and dine, however we are used to Ernie Davis in which we only dine private. Great selection. I really enjoyed the grape leaves filled with rice and olive flavored oil. My guests really enjoyed the complimentary quinoa. Will try the brunch menu next time. Compliments to the chef.“
