I have tried all the Korean restaurants in the Syracuse area, but this is the only one worth going to and one of the best restaurants overall in Syracuse. I always leave full and happier than I arrived! I have been here many times and I have liked everything I tried, but my partner and I find the beef bulgogi, kalbi, fried rice, kimchi jeyuk (pork), and mackerel to be especially excellent. I would happily bring someone on a date here. The atmosphere is comfortably casual, the restaurant is clean, and the nonalcoholic drinks they have are interesting tasty and interesting in addition the to beer, Jinro, and makgeolli. The banchan are also very good and change often throughout the year. This restaurant is my #1 recommendation for anyone passing through, visiting, or moving to Syracuse!

Excellent tiny hole in the wall for authentic Korean dishes. There are only a handful of tables at this mother-daughter-run restaurant, but it is well-worth going. The flavors were phenomenal, the quality of ingredients was very good, and the menu had a lot of choices, so whether you like meat, vegetables, seafood, spicy food, or something subtle and delicate, you’re sure to find a treat. The broth of the kalbi tang (short rib soup) knocked my socks off.
Kid-friendliness: Probably not for most kids. The restaurant is small and the flavors are complex.

To-go for Korean food. I came here around 4:30pm. The restaurant is small and wasn’t busy. The parking lot is a bit strange. There are 2 doors to go inside: front and side. I got Dak Kal Bi and Den Jang Chigae. They tasted good, and very spicy. The kimchi I got as side dish is quite small compared to other restaurant I’ve been to. And wish there were more pork in Den Jang Chigae. Price is a bit higher as well. Staff was friendly

What a great little hidden gem in downtown Syracuse. Great people and service and the food was spectacular.
Homemade dishes and Homemade kimchi... didn't taste mass produced at all, and the portions were so large that I couldn't finish.
Grape soju FTW.
I'll be back.

If you have a desire for authentic Korean food, you should try Chorong House.
I've had the opportunity to live and travel through Korea many times.
I can vouch for this being very delicious and authentic Korean cuisine. The atmosphere and flavors are spot on. Service was very pleasant. The food prices were as expected.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

There are many imitated Korean restaurants in NY, but this is a real Korean restaurant. You can enjoy Korean food from Busan.

The food is delicious! The service is absolutely amazing—the woman that helped us was so sweet and kind and helpful. I could eat here every night. The only tiny downside is that there’s not a ton of seating, but we were lucky to walk in at the perfect time and easily got a table for dinner. If you’re in Syracuse and looking for delicious Korean food, definitely come here.

Went as a family of 4 and all our dishes were amazing. We also ordered the Kimbob appetizer and that was delicious as well. Staff was kind and very welcoming as soon as we walked in and we will all be back again.

What a charming little place with lovely people. The soups we had were delicious (soft tofu stew and kimchi pork stew), piping hot, and large. Kim-bob was also huge and tasty. We left stuffed to the gills. No frills restaurant, but like I said, charming and wonderful friendly service … like having a meal with family. There were cute little signs about their “rules.” We were just passing through Syracuse and will definitely stop again. Pretty easy off / on 690 and near the SU campus.

This is the perfect homemade Korean food place in Syracuse. It lacks flash but the food is authentic as it comes. Owner and family who helps run the restaurant are super kind and friendly.
Beware coming during a heatwave as the restaurant is quite warm but seeing I was hit the owner ran the air conditioning for me.
Great food, great prices, and great staff.
