Superb service for a private party, looking forward to when Citronelle opens to the public & brings in live music...btw..excellent chocolate mousse!

An alternative spot downtown, catering to those who have grown out of loud spaces and still want some civility on their nights out without their daytime straight jacket

We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious meal at Citronelle on a recent Saturday evening. Service by Jeremy was attentive, appetizers (calamari, oysters, shrimp cocktail) were all amazing! The burrata salad was outstanding and the steaks were succulent and perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend this restaurant....and may sit at the bar next time :)

I was in the area for work and found myself in Citronelle for dinner. I had a seat at the bar where I was greeted by the bartender in short order. I took a quick look at both the food and drink menu. As another reviewer noted, it really does have the feel of an upscale hotel lobby which can deter some people. Not a lot of people for a Wednesday night. I ordered a mezcal cocktail which was excellent. Had a nice kick to it. I also ordered the strip steak for my entree and the creme brûlée for dessert. The strip steak was amazing! It came with a red wine sauce, spinach, and crispy roasted potatoes. This combination paired very well. The portion size may disappoint some, but overall I enjoyed the dish. The creme brûlée was a disappointment. It had an almost bland taste to it. I'm don't believe the combination with the pecans and the creme brûlée worked. Overall a good dining experience.

The place was empty when I arrived for my reservation. It was a rainy night so perhaps they stayed away. It was about 830 so it wasn't too late. The meal I had was one of the worst I've had in a long time. I ordered the duck for the appetizer. It came with chopped potatoes that I think were left over from last weeks breakfast and reheated. The duck was served cold and was gray instead of pink. The meal I had was the sirloin steak. It was extremely dry and tough. At least the water was good and the bartender was a nice enough guy. But it taste like they had sent their chefs home and just reheated everything in the microwave. If I could give it less than one star I would.

this is, far and away, the best place to get a cocktail in Syracuse. the food never disappoints, but when I'm having dinner of a similar calibre elsewhere I'm ALWAYS disappointed with the drinks they pour. the only place in Syracuse to properly make a vesper, the best margarita you can get, and they'll pull together a paloma if you ask politely. it may sound kitsch, but ask for the colour changing margarita, it's showy but backed up with great taste

The menu was varied and interesting. The dishes we ordered were tasty and well prepared. The service was a bit rushed, even though the restaurant was fairly empty. Overall, good food and good drinks! I'd like to see more relaxed and professional service to match the upscale ambiance.

I celebrated my friend’s birthday here last night during dining week. The menu was spectacular and our server, Jeremy, was excellent. I’ll be sure to come back!

We absolutely love it here Billy, Sara and the team are amazing!!! The cocktails are unique, delicious, and thoughtfully crafted. The food is also delicious with fun twists on classics as well as creative new dishes. Our dinner for 7 was perfect!

Went there on Saturday night, last day of Dining Week. Lydia did a nice job of keeping us happy. Service was prompt, food was delicious and satisfying. The crowd was a mix of diners, from very casual to business casual. There is a variety of seating arrangements to accommodate all sizes of parties. We would definitely go back on a less busy night.

Incredible food. Beautiful surroundings. Service was on point. Best steak I have eaten in 20 years. Tuna poke, roasted Brussels, cheese and charcuterie, scallop ceviche.. Jist divine. My hubby's mushroom gnocchi was amazing too. We usually order too much and take our leftovers home. We ordered too much and ate every bite! Can't wait to go back.

It was our first time there and we were a little disappointed. Love the look of the place but our meal wasn't great. I think it might be because it was restaurant week and they were overwhelmed. They didn't have several items on the menu, they had run out. Also maybe due to restaurant week. My husband ordered gnocchi and when they brought his meal they had just substituted regular pasta since they were out of gnocchi. Thought it was strange they didn't ask if he wanted something else before just serving something different. Brussels sprouts were good.

Actual Dining Week menu was not the same as the Dining Week menu being used to advertise online. Several dishes advertised online were missing from the menu as we sat down - including one dish in particular that brought us in. This was disappointing. Service was ridiculously slow - we spent well over 2 hours in the restaurant from start to finish, and it was not that busy. Servers seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced. Food was decent, but for the total price of the bill, a lot was left to be desired overall.

Two of our main dishes were served cold When we asked to see our server about it, the manager came over and apologized and offered to make new meals. The second round was a little warmer but hot. Food quality and service a step down from previous visits to the restaurant.

We unexpectedly took advantage of the restaurant week special. The appetizer options were great. My husband had the wings and they were amazing. I had the Brussel sprouts and also thought they were excellent. I have eaten there before, so I truly appreciated a three course meal.
