“The atmosphere was cozy but could see this place being packed and crowded when it's not middle of winter and during school break (we visited early January) The cocktails where great and the bar staff knew their spirits. We were lucky to sit across from the food prep area which gave us the opportunity to watch and talk with Chef David. His menu is out of this world . The small Plate creations were absolutely phenomenal. You MUST try the tartare. We will def visit again next time we are in SYR and hope to sit in the same spot to talk with David.“

“Best place to have a party in event room. Maria is the best to work with. Responded very quickly to inquire of room for my father’s birthday celebration. Lots of choices for food and the pizza oven has a variety of tasty pizzas to choose from. Kim DeStefano was the best bartender, quick, efficient and exceptionally friendly. The event room was everything I wanted & could have imagined to celebrate my dad’s 80th. Highly recommend with working with Marie for any parties in the future. Thank you Maxwells for awesome food and venue. Cheers !!“

“Last night’s wine pairing dinner was truly a 10/10 experience. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that felt both elegant and comfortable. The chef absolutely blew me away each dish was a masterpiece, perfectly paired with wines that brought out every flavor. You could feel the passion behind every plate and every pour. And the people? Just amazing. Great conversations, great vibes, and an overall unforgettable evening. I left full, happy, and already looking forward to the next one!“

“Unexpected delight @yorkcny last night 😍
I was immediately charmed by the ambience– black shiny brick, big mirrors, and lots of green plants surrounded attractive seating– and hoped the food would measure up.
The pork chop was well-cooked and flavorful but even more delicious was the egg and fried rice that surrounded it. The presentation was lovely (see little flower!!!)
The bone marrow appetizer was delicious, assuming you enjoy Gorgonzola (I do)
The pasta’s size was shockingly generous, and it was creamy and flavorful. The Calabrian peppers definitely gave it a nice kick.
The Snicker’s cookie topped with ice cream was exactly what I wanted– straight-forward, simple, and nostalgic.
As for the drinks, I wasn’t drinking tonight but my friend ordered the [Not Your Mama’s] Amaretto Sour which featured an overproof rum and was absolutely insanely delicious. Would highly recommend.
