Stopped twice in the same day to pick up 2 loaves of bread and not a single loaf on the shelf, both times the guy said stop back in an hour.. this place makes great bread but certainly something has changed there! Sorry guys but my time and gas are worth something too! You do make great bread thou

I have not lived in my hometown for almost 30 years, but everytime I visit, I go here to get a loaf of bread. Of all the places I have lived, I have yet to find bread this good.

Had the same problem as another customer a week ago. Plain white bag. Bread terrible with no flavor. Could not call either. Terrible experience

Bread has always been delicious. Up until today 12/8 , we bought four loaves of bread, 3 to freeze, and they are tasteless. They came in a plain white bag, not the Columbus baking bread bag. The bread is missing something, maybe salt, not sure it doesn’t have much flavor to it. I’ll try to call tomorrow, but another reviewer stated phone doesn’t work.

This place has always had the best bread around. That is until today. My wife picked up a loaf. Absolutely no taste, like they forgot the salt or some other ingredient. It did not come in the normal Columbus sleeve either. I tried to call and complain, but I received a message saying the number was no longer in service. Quite disappointing. At $5.00 a loaf it’ll be my last.

My mom used to bring me here when I was a kid. I decided to stop and bring some bread to my grandparents but didn’t realize they were cash only. After I went out to my car to grab some change, I asked the gentleman how much a loaf of bread was and realized I didn’t have enough. He ended up giving it to me for free. Next time I come in I will pay for it. It was very kind of him and you don’t get that sort of generosity much these days.

This family-owned and operated company uses the same ovens it's founder instead decades ago, using the same original Italian bread recipes brought over from the old country. Loaves come in 3 types: long, round and flat. Flat loaves are per-scored for easy breaking-and-eating.
I've been buying Columbus Bakery breads for over 60 years. I've lived all over the country, but never found Italian bread anywhere that competes with Columbus Bakery's quality, freshness and taste.

I grew up with this bread and still visit it any time I'm in town. The warm flat bread never makes it home without a segment or two removed. I haven't had better Italian bread anywhere else (not in NYC, Boston or Italy). Highly recommend!
