I’ve had pad thai in many places around the world, never tasted one this much sugary with very few other ingredients than the noodles. It was basically a sweet ketchup pasta. I couldn’t eat most of it and asked why it was so sweet and why there were so few shrimps (5 per order as they told me), the response was basically “this is what it is”. Not every customer will like whatever is served at a given restaurant, so expecting that and having better manners when that happens should be a practice they work on I believe.

Still a solid option for Thai cuisine. Food is consistently of good quality. Enjoyed red coconut curry. Atmosphere is on the level of a no-frills family owned restaurant.

Hello,
I’m visiting family here in Syracuse and decided to try out some Thai food from this restaurant. I ordered the Thai spring rolls and Shrimp Pad Thai. The spring rolls were decent. It came with a vinegar/sugar/water dipping sauce. It was different but good. I still requested peanut sauce and the combination of the sauces was good! Now for the pad Thai…it wasn’t very good. It was really sweet, goopy and only 6 shrimp in the entire dish. I had to add extra lemon to cut the sweetness of the sauce and it was still too sweet. I’ve been to Thailand and ate pad Thai there and it still wasn’t as sweet! The customer service was blah. Soon as I entered the restaurant to pick up my order, the one server was kinda surly and told me to “go over there” to pick up my order. I was tempted to just leave based on her attitude alone. While, I get it’s 45 minutes before closing, but between the service and the food, I definitely do not recommend this Thai restaurant…

Always my go to Thai restaurant when I’m visiting Syracuse, NY. My favorites are Pad Thai, Gai Pad Pak Lad Nan Satay, Goong Ham Pha, and Tom Yum Gai soup.

I had lunch here for the first time. My staple for Thai is Tom Kha Gai with steam rice, Fresh spring roll and crispy fried spring roll. All were very delicious. I’ll be back for lunch special or dinner.

I've been going there for years it always good
Wheelchair accessibility: They have 1 or 2 spots by the front door but I've had to park in the back lot several times. I'd estimate it is 30 yards from the furthest spot to the entrance on a slight grade

I’ve been searching for a restaurant that is better than Erawan for Pad See Ew and have never found one. My family and I have been going here for 15+ years. This was my first introduction to thai food.
I have since moved out of the state and always make a point to stop by when I’m in town visiting.
Their pad see ew pork, pad woo Sen, and pad Thai, are classic (lol basic but incredible) staples that my family and I get every time.

I've been a customer of Erawan for more than two decades and, in my opinion, it is the best Thai food in Syracuse. Furthermore, the staff provides exemplary service and treats you like an old friend each and every time you visit.
Dietary restrictions: If you eat a strictly plant-based diet, be sure and request your items to be made "vegan."

Erawan has amazing Thai Food. Their lunch specials include an egg roll or spring roll, your entree and rice. The service is friendly and prompt. A great place to meet people for a business lunch or during the work day. Lots of parking which makes it easy. Over the years, we have tried almost everything on the menu. Nothing has been a disappointment! Definitely ask for their peanut sauce, it is the best. Their dinner portions are bigger than the lunch portions and we recommend ordering extra entrees, share family style and take home the leftovers!
Food was great. Spicy and delicious.

Duck curry on house special was excellent, and the spicy coconut soup was good. Ehsay is Thai and can only give 4 stars for a Thai restaurant if it doesn't have papaya salad
