Habiba's is one of my favorite places for lunch in Syracuse. The misir wot is delicious! The owner is very kind and the service is quick.

I ran here to write a review because I FINALLY got to try Habiba's!!! I had to take it to go since I was on my lunch break, but I will be back to sit down and try more 🙌🏻 Habiba was so sweet and personable; I'm usually nervous to try new foods that I'm unfamiliar with, but I instantly felt calm in her presence. I got the Doro Beyaynetu for one (2 chicken dishes w/ 3 vegetarian) with injera, and a veggie sambusa. She asked which options I wanted or if I wanted her to choose; I told her to choose and I'm down for whatever! Everything was fresh and hot with soooo much flavor and very filling. The injera is soft, almost like the inside of a fluffy pancake. If you've never had Ethiopian food and you're nervous to try it, Habiba's is your way to go! She'll have a conversation with you to help you figure out the best dish to try (I heard her do this with the people in front of me). The cabbage and the stewed chicken were especially delicious. It says "vegetarian", but is really vegan. Pretty tasty, big portions that was enough for more than 2 ppl in our group. Owner was a very friendly woman.

I've had Doro Tibs at Ethiopian restaurants all over the country, and this easily stands with the best of them! Featuring perfect textures and amazing flavors, and with *just* the right amount of spice, Habiba's should be on everyone's list when in 'Cuse. I go out of my way to stop any time I'm even remotely close.

Portions were very small for the price. One 14$ dish is definitely not enough for 1 person. Not only this, the food was not very flavorful and some of it tasted off (freezer burnt?). I’ve eaten a lot of Ethiopian food and this is by far the worst I’ve ever had. If you have a choice, go to the other Ethiopian food shop restaurant in Syracuse.

Highly recommend eating here. The food is great. Prices are reasonable. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Plus there are gf options. The rice is gf, but the injera may not be.

My friend & I wanted to try something new today for our friend date. We decided on Ethiopian cuisine and I wanted to try this location for awhile. The service was good, but we found hair in our food. The lady apologized and refunded my money.
