Food is consistently good, however service is inconsistent. Random breaks especially during peak hours just doesn't make sense. Who takes a break at 5pm?! We love the food and we drove all the way to Salt City Market for it. It has happened several times already on different days and times.

I ordered a chicken and a beef sambusa. I had seen someone else order from them and the food smelled AMAZING. So, when I asked, they told me the name of the food they'd ordered and so I decided to try it. It took about 15 minutes for the lady to fry up my food so it was hot and fresh. I had to ask for sauce or I wouldn't have gotten any. Based on the mouth watering smell, I was so excited to eat. Well, I couldn't have been more disappointed. Although they were good and hot and nice and crispy, they were probably the blandest thing I've ever had in my life. Not a bit seasoning anywhere. I had to add some salt just to choke them down! As a person who loves Indian and mediterranean food, I envisioned them tasting similar to samosas - spicy and bursting with flavor. There were just as flavorless and bland as...I don't know. A saltine cracker has more flavor. My food was absolutely terrible and I DO NOT recommend this restaurant.

My friend & I wanted to try something new today for our friend date. We decided on Ethiopian cuisine and I wanted to try this location for awhile. The service was good, but we found hair in our food. The lady apologized and refunded my money.

Habiba’s is incredible: the food is delicious, and it comes with an infectious smile that consistently brightens our day. We heart the beef tibs and veggie dishes.

Delicious- what talent! We got the chicken and beef sampler platters...both amazing. She makes the injera on site in what looks like a tiny kitchen...so impressive! If we lived in Syracuse we would probably eat here weekly. Or more often!Vegetarian options: She offers a veggie platter that looks fabulous

From a real Ethiopian, this is not real Ethiopian food!! I ordered Tibs and Beyanetu Doro(which should have been a giveaway b/c I've never heard of that) and both were awful. I never, ever leave reviews but it was that terrible, that I had no choice. Any Ethiopian person would agree that this is not remotely close to real, traditional Ethiopain food. But for other ethnicities, I want to let you know that Ethiopian food is 100x better than this.

Delicious! Had the vegetarian selection platter and it was huge and very filling. Mango smoothie very tasty as well. Good value for money!

Naturally, that type of cuisine is not for everybody’s taste. However, if you’re in the mood for a vegetarian quick bite somewhere in downtown, Syracuse, you simply cannot beat this place.

Moving to Syracuse as a vegetarian has been a little rough, but Habiba's has so many delicious vegetarian options. The Shiro Wot is incredible. The customer service was also great. They are very kind.

Superb. Had the 2 chicken -3 veg plate. The veg inluded a dal, a saag-like greens dish, and some potatoes-carrots. Perfectly cooked. Chicken was flavorful and tender. My favorite part? They give you extra injera bread to mop up all that goodness. In the Salt City Market, so really worth going.
