NOTICE: CASH ONLY As soon as we landed and unpacked, we went over to this place, and we were pretty well satisfied. We forgot to order an appetizer, but we went ahead and ordered entrees. The only issue was that they only accepted cash. This was a problem, as my dad had to go over to an ATM to widthdraw cash. I believe this was the main reason why it took ~40 minutes for our food to come out. When it did arrive, it was pretty good. I was a little disappointed, as they had run out of rice and beans before we arrived, so we had to get french fries with all of our food. I ordered the j*** chicken salad, which I really liked. The chicken was a tad-bit warm (not as hot as I would have liked), but the flavor made up for it. My dad got the curry goat, which he said had really good flavor (I can attest). He did say however it could've been better. My mom got fish, and she said it was alright. Nothing that blew her away. My brothers both got the j*** chicken with a side of fries. They both ate all of their food, with no crumbs leftover. I would like to point out that the french fries here were really good. Overall, the restaurant was really good, and probably would've recieved 5 stars if they had rice and beans.
We found a lot of restaurants for our first evening closed or booked, so we came here and got takeout to have at our hotel. One of the best meals we had all week! Food brings the flavor, and lots of different dishes in the platter. So good!
Absolutely one of the Best restaurants in the island! The wonderful aroma of the food is worth the visit but the flavors are amazing!
During our week in Bonaire, we went out to dinner for seven night tried a variety of restaurant and cuisine and I must say that Irie was my #1 choice, hands down. It’s an unassuming place on a quiet out of the way dark street but don’t judge a book by its cover. The place is simplistic with a menu board on the wall and you walk up and order at the counter and someone will bring your food out to you. The ingredients were amazingly fresh and the food was prepared deliciously. Best of all, I ate my meal with their homemade ginger beer and with the Reggae music playing on the TV, it brought me back to Jamaica. I actually contemplated about going back there for a second time but alas, I was vetoed by the Fun Governess. I highly recommend this little gem; you won’t be disappointed.
Irie is one of our favorite restaurants in Bonaire. Their ribs are some of the best I’ve ever had and the service was fantastic. Irie is a must visit when in Bonaire.
Delicious! Cash only. The j*** red snapper was amazing. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Ask about dessert too. Open air with real island feel.
Very nice place with good Caribbean food. Worth going. Don‘t expect high class restaurant or service but really lovely nice little place
In the week we were here we tried a LOT of different spots, the fancy ones and everything in between, and the food at Irie's easily takes the cake for one of the best places we went to eat. A super chill spot a couple minute walk from the waterfront/downtown area with very friendly staff. The food — just incredible! Between six of us we tried the chicken soup, j*** chicken, j*** pork, bbq ribs and the j*** fish salad and each one was just delicious. The ribs fell off the bone and all the little sides were yummy too. Fantastic meal, great price, highly recommend over other places that hold on too much to their "views" and not enough on their quality of food.
We came here twice during our stay in Bonaire. The food was amazing, and the first time, we ordered the curried goat, j*** fish, j*** chicken, and BBQ ribs. They were all fantastic, and we accompanied them with ginger beers for everyone. We highly recommend the ginger beers, which are deliciously spicy, strong, and sweet. Warning: they are addictive! We came back a second time, and everyone ordered the curried goat, since it was so good. We also recommend getting a side order of fried plantains; they're to die for. Amisha was our waitress, and we adored her. She's great to joke around with. All in all, Irie Jamaican Cuisine was a highlight of our trip, and you need to come.
Small family Jamaican restaurant with that personalized service. Nice relaxing time to have very nice Jamaican food. Not spicy but they will load it if you request it. Enjoyed the meal. Was not rushed and the family wait staff was very attentive. This is not a high end restaurant but the food is excellent and it right in town. We ate there twice in a week. Try them.

Picked this place from reviews and you tube vid. four of us ordered different dishes and all were great. Ordered some glasses of wine and got the idea that they don't sell much. In other words not a fancy place. Cash only! Plan to go back when in Bonaire
Visiting Irie's is like a trip to Kingston - but without the hustle and bustle as it's tucked down a little side street behind the hospital. But the vibe is still there, with a reggae festival showing on the big screen when we visited. J*** chicken with rice 'n peas washed down with a cold beer - life doesn't get much better. The flavours are authentic, but the chilli hit could be higher. Next time we visit (and we definitely will) I shall ask for a bit more heat. One thing to note is don't bring your credit card, as this is currently a cash-only establishment.
Excellent food. We had the j*** chicken, goat curry and oxtail. No Red Stripe and cash only but off the tourist trail and very tasty.
Just finished a wonderful meal jere with the family. Great food, pleasant atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Very accommodating to special diets, as I’m vegan and my husband is not. Delicious and most flavorful meals each of us had on the island. Great service and great value for amount of good and fresh food you get. Had to go back and get takeaway before we left because it was just that good! A must visit in Bonaire!
