I'm not sure if the previous reviews are jealous or just trying to make the owner look bad. Also, keep personal business out of a food review. There's no point. Sounds like their insecure if you have to put it in a food review. The food has always & still is great. Good flavor, moist & friendly service. I've seen the owner always be friendly & accommodating to customers when sometimes the customers are rude to her. I don't know the owner personally I'm just sharing my experience. This business will be around for a long time because of the great food & service. I heard the cook was one of the best in town & some people don't like that. Please eat the food for yourself & have your own experience & not judge. Still my only favorite Spanish food restaurant in Syracuse. I've tasted others & they don't compare. Enjoy eating & share your review. Let's help others see how great they really are!

Spent 20 dollars what was suppose to be a large pepper steak combo but instead got mostly with less than half of spoon of meat with sweet salty peppers with a abundance stale rice

Laylas is a hidden gem if you don't know about her, authentic, large portions, EXCELLENT food, go early or she may run out, her plantains are worth the drive alone! A must try if you enjoy variety and authenticity!

Can’t recommend enough. I’m Cuban-America and grew up 3 hours away from Miami and this is the BEST Spanish food I’ve had since moving to New York 4 years ago.

Horrible Food! Horrible Service. I know authentic Spanish food and my friends this isn't it..Ordered a Lunch Special, Beans and rice with a choice of stew beef of chicken opted for the chicken and added two empanadas. Old stale rice with no beans, no flavor, and DRY chicken. How is it possible to have dry stew chicken is beyond comprehension. The empanadas that I waited for over 10 minutes for, because the guy in the back would rather chat on the phone than cook the empanadas. (Mind you its lunch time rush hour) Where pouring with oil. There was enough oil that poured from them things you could have cooked 12 empanadas with it. Yea they are big, all shell, only a spoon full of ground beef and liquid nacho cheese (gross). The place was dirty, and there where children sleeping in the kitchen area.

A must have for authentic Spanish cuisine. The meat is so tender, the rice has just the right amount of bite.My meal also came withbeans & potatoes plus a side salad. They also have Goya pop in many flavors in both single and 2 litre bottles.*Oh, and did I mention the Mofongo?
