Going to the cat cafe made me really sad. The cats were sweet and seemed kind of happy, but the space was dirty and smelled like the litter boxes really needed to be changed. We also found a large rusty nail on the couch that was there for customers to sit on. I love that the cats have a space place to be while waiting to be adopted, I just wish the place was better kept for them.
editing because the owner lovingly replied oh so passive aggressively: (which seems to be his forte? acting like a victim and a toddler in reply to every negative review??? “tHaNkS fOr RuInIng My DaY”) your food is weirdly colonized japanese food done extremely unwell - coming from someone who has traveled in eastern asia and has eaten japanese in not only different states in the US but countries around the world 🫶🏻PLEASE support your local asian restaurants instead of this mess.🫶🏻 i know you and your staff enjoy co-opting culture disrespectfully, but please remember you also do it badly 🫶🏻 the boba? always uncooked and separating/curdling, i understand some people may enjoy it but thats just because they havent had good boba before! please redirect to U-tea, Hi-tea, Vietnamese Noodle House, and Tai Chi 🫶🏻
about the cat room! as a vegan who studies and advocates at the collegiate level about habitat loss/fragmentation, animal rights, and conservation and is ACUTELY aware of the plight of shelter animals: this doesnt forgive how often dirty and underwhelming your space is, also incredibly overstimulating for certain cats. also horribly understaffed to control people who act inappropriately with the cats. this includes the baby we adopted, who was constantly hiding and stressed. so shame on you :)
please redirect to Pawsitivitea, where the space is clean, well-run, appropriately sized and staffed and managed anddddd is generally just doing more in the community.🫶🏻

ORIGINAL REVIEW: about the cafe portion: food and drinks weren’t good. 🙇🏻♀️ i preferred my time at pawsitivitea for cat cafe activities about the cat room: super small for the room to cat ratio BUT we went in with the idea for one single senior black cat lady, and it has been a little over a year and a half with our Stinky Doufu (previously Betty)…..and she is our most precious, baby-est, cutest, funniest, most magical, ethereal, spoiled, most cat-shaped rat and we love her and she’s our child/dependant and we are obsessed and so very in love with her

Primary purpose of this was to hang out with the kitties, which are adoptable. There is a fee to hang out with them, which is used to feed them and shelter them.
We had drinks only- matcha latte was good, and their machiatto was also good-
You can’t take food in their cat lounge, drinks are allowed.
It’s a nice place to hang out with cats, they are very silly and playful- they get along well.

1st time I walked through the door, they didn't accept a card. Next time I went, and they had no change to break whatever you had..... They had basically nothing available in the menu..... poor management, I guess, for not taking inventory and keeping stock stocked!
