I love Asian fusion as much as the next guy, but when you are in the mood for some good old fashioned Chinese food Panda West is as good as any place I remeber going to in NYC as a kid. When arriving hot tea and Chinese noodles/chips with duck sauce are placed on the table so you know you are off to go a good start. We were we four for lunch and two of us started with the hot and sour soup (vegetarian, no pork) and it was very good with a nice amount of spice. I ordered chicken in black bean sauce while others at the table ordered vegetable and noodle dishes and we were all very satisfied. Panda West has been serving Chinese food for twenty plus years and although quiet on the Sunday afternoon we were there we hear from others at the University it can be very crowded at times so they must be doing something right!

I have lived in CNY all my life but traveled extensively. My first visit to Angotti's was last weekend. The food and prices are a great value and the sauce is well "the best on the planet". Service is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is old school which was fine with me. Simple like when you went to eat years ago. Great meal and a great price. What a wonderful family owned business. The white garlic pizza was the best we've ever had! People who work there treat you like family! I'll be back.

We tried their breakfast sandwich with eggs and sausage as well as their Eggs Benedict. The latter sandwich is one you must try ! Egg Benedict (poached egg and avocado on a toast) was absolutely delicious and creative. We topped that off with the banana bread, one of the best I've tasted! Lattes were just right.

The food was mediocre at best -definitely not worth the price. Service was quick though. However, my main complaint is about tipping. Even before I decided to pay the tip. The guy on the checkout counter asked me for it. When I gave him a tip. He blatantly asked for more. I thought it was up to the customer how much he wants to tip.

Food was way over priced and bland. Definitely not worth the money we paid for it. I ordered the Rose Duck which was suppoded to be a half of a duck served on a bed of lettuce, there was no way that was half a duck, the portion was way too little unless it was a duckling and as I mentioned before the food was bland no seasoning. Everyone in my party has the same complaints. Dont waste your money, definitely not worth the time or money spent.
