I purchased a pizza and was struck by how much things have changed. Whatever happened to Derek, the young man, or the rest of the old crew? I had assumed they were doing well, but I suppose it was too stressful for them. Having been away for a year, I was excited to stop by, but unfortunately, the staff behind the counter appeared miserable. I miss the Spanish man who was mangers and his daughter, who used to work alongside Derek and the older black man thats been there for years....
The pizza is life. Monumental in the orders for the nursing homes and the group homes in Syracuse. We all love Pavone's. And I love the service. The inside of the building is always pleasant and I love the dough! That's the best part. They take great pride in their pizza. For the various types of pizza this is the #1 for their type. My all time favorite place been eating their for over 30 years. But i have to say the canzone and pizza we got Sunday were terrible both were extremely spicy to the point could not eat it plus no ricotta was in the calzone. .pizza was cold And the lady was rude very disappointed
