I founded People's Place 50 years ago and was there today as they are filming for a 50 year celebration. The prices have gone up a bit in 50 years, but the welcoming atmosphere hasn't changed a bit.

Kids working in the cafe are too noisy. People come to relax and study there, but get distracted instead.
Working students are super nice, informative, and ready to serve you coffee, snacks, etc...
