Jenny from the bar rocked it while it was super busy. The owner was extremely personable and made sure we were good while the staff was catching up

I came in with my husband and 2 toddlers. Our serve, I can’t remember her name, but she went above and beyond! She was extremely attentive and ensure our little food got pushed through quick and easy, answered all questions we had, so kindly infected with my kiddos.
The food was good, the portions are good size too so be ready for left overs!

The only reason giving “1” Star is because it’s required. Service? What Service.. Another couple and along with us waited at the Hostess stand for at least 15 minutes before being acknowledged by a waitress, it was later the “2” Hostess appeared. We followed the directions at the front door and waited for the Hostess at the back patio. The entire time we stood at the Hostess stand the phone rang. Rise N Shine, thank you for saving me my money this morning. We along with the other couple chose to leave and even almost answered your annoying ringing phone. I’m sure your customers on the patio enjoyed listening to a constant ringing phone. I sure hope the rest of New York’s service is not this terrible because I’m not impressed.

Yikes. Some thoughts on my experience this morning: This place is all style and little substance. Lots of staff wandering about and chatting (right in front of our table while we were waiting to order). QR code menu is annoying as a customer. Corned beef hash should not be served with ground beef, call it something else, that wasn’t corned beef. Not even close. The orange juice only comes in one size, and it costs $11! My partner at breakfast ordered without looking at the menu admittedly, but the sticker shock when we got the bill was questionable for the product that was received. My partners Shakshuka dish tasted like nothing but canned tomatoes and store bought salsa. Our bill was around $80 for the two of us. Really underwhelming for the cost.

Arrived at 1013am on a Sunday, was told 50-55 minutes wait. We were finally seated almost 2 hours later. Then was seated at the bar. Waiting for over 2 hours and get seated at the bar where every worker comes out was not a great experience. Food was ok, not hot. Staff not very friendly..was not a great experience. Can't believe their times for aprox service were over doubled. Will not be going back.

Waited 45 minutes, not even a seat at the bar. Felt like they should have at least asked/offered option to just order for take-out. Won't try again.

I love this spot for breakfast.

You can make reservations, or they have counter seats available. My whole family fit at the counter, when they had a 2 hour wait.

The servers are friendly and nice.

And, we loved all of the food we ordered. I love their drinks, coffee and omelettes. They also have an array of desserts and pastries that you can order as well.

I can't wait to come back here.

Rise and Shine Diner in Syracuse is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots I’ve been to! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were on point, and our waitress Giustina was truly the best—so friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!
