hands down the best sweet potato fries i’ve ever had. the dipping sauce that comes with them is immaculate. everything is so fresh and delicious. it’s a hidden gem. every time i order it’s always 100% correct and quick with a sweet little message on the bag. i appreciate little touches like that. awesome business, awesome staff, awesome food. i cannot say enough good things about this place.
Salt City Soup Co. was a little hard to get to because they're located in a business gallery and I assume mostly serve the people who work in said gallery. I am not going to lie, the atmosphere of the entire gallery was a little off putting, a total liminal space.Aside from that the staff was incredibly courteous. The food was fresh, delicious, and most important it was real food. I had been eating so much junk food and needed something reap and nutritious and their food hit the spot. With their name you would think they would have a huge selection of soup but they only had two available. They rotate through new soups all the time. I got cream of mushroom and it was a cut above. Very high quality and absolutely delicious. If you want something both delicious and nutritious it's worth the liminal space freak out and the drive.
Food is great for lunches but it doesn't come out quick. The place is like a mini cafe, so don't bring a crowd. The place might be hard to find too. Look for signs or people walking nearby for directions.
Dietary restrictions: They're pretty good about nut allergies. The soups are made with onion bases so be wary of that if allergic to onions.
First time eating was great. I feel like it's a hidden gem being tucked away inside an office building. I can't recommend this place enough. The food is delicious and fresh. The staff are very friendly and are amazing at preparing the food.
Why are the places that are harder to find always so so good?! Roast beef sandwich was juicy and flavorful, chicken sandwich was tender and fresh, the sweet potato fries here are absolutely unreal and they come with this maple dipping sauce that changes the flavor entirely into some sort of french toast/sweet potato fry amalgamation(please try these!) Regular french fries were cooked perfectly as well. Order was correct and on time. Portion sizes were perfect. Was a little difficult to find the building but still giving 5 stars because WOW that was probably one of the best lunches I’ve ever had. Usually would add photos but was too excited to dig in!
I had the turkey and bacon with rosemary mayo, it was delicious. My colleague had the butternut squash soup and really liked it as well. Highly recommend.
On a business trip we found this via Google. When we got to the location we thought we must be on the wrong area as it is a business park. We went into the office building and found the restaurant on the first floor.Food selection was somewhat small however it all sounded fantastic. When we got the soups and sandwiches they were really, really good and tastey. An out of the way place for really great soup and sandwiches.
Black bean soup spices were excellent, just a tad too much salt. The summer salad was great could use more than 2 strawberries. Would recommend and return. The staff was outstanding.
The food truck came to our neighborhood. We ordered the number 3 and 5 sandwiches. Both were amazing! Cannot wait to try the rest of the menu!
I had the special today; a Veggie Pita. Loved it. Just the right amount of ingredients and blend of flavor. Came all the way from Alaska to try it!

Picked up their Sourdough Bagels at the Curd N**** Best bagels in the area.Amazing!!
The sandwiches and sweet potato fries are delicious!
Absolutely love this place! Have ordered the breakfast sandwich, various lunch sandwiches and specials, and of course the soups. We have never been disappointed. The ingredients are so fresh and the combinations so tasty! The soup is out of this world! Silky and packed with flavor. Hands down the best in all of 'cuse! And the sweet potato fries...oh my - hand cut, and with the maple dipping sauce you'll never order them from another place besides here. Like us, once you try Salt City Soup Co, you will definitely be back.
What a cool spot hidden inside an office park. You can taste the fresh ingredients in each bite. A great spot to warm up on a cold day. Support Local!
My wife and I are always looking for a distinctive lunch spot when we travel. When we saw how many ????? reviews the Salt City Soup Company had, and how close it is to the Destiny USA mall where we were shopping, we had to try it.Remember, “you can’t tell a book by it’s cover”. We were surprised to find the location in a corporate complex, instead of a cozy Syracuse neighborhood. No worries. We walked into a spotless, comfortable cafe, greeted by a friendly, helpful staff. The menu was extensive for both breakfast and lunch. The soup, salad and wraps we ordered were not only fresh, they were one-of-a-kind delicious. I even bought extra soup (black bean & sausage) to take home.Full disclosure: We also took home the wraps we could not finish. We highly recommed Salt City Soup Co. for a lunch you will remember…for all the right reasons.
