Came in for the first time and thought it was ok. Good, but nothing more or special.
I’ve been to many breweries and their beers were ok, but nothing blew me away.
The staff was friendly but busy. It was on the verge of seeming they were short staffed.
The food was also ok. Maybe more meh. I had their Mac and Cheese but wasn’t impressed. It wasn’t bad, but lacked depth or flavor.
I see they are generally highly rated and it’s possible I caught them in a bad night, but I’m not particularly hard to please. So overall - a little disappointed.
Definitely take your wife and lover to this place to try something different on a date. Love the atmosphere and the drinks. Will be back!!
We had a super helpful waitress who knew what we might want to order off the menu without being pushy.
What a great place! 15 in-house made beers on tap! Funky burgers—we ordered the Bahr-Mi and the Pub Pretzel, plus a French Dip. All were delicious! Great location across from the iconic NM building. Check the website for for weekly specials. Can't wait to visit again!
The place is super cute and inviting. They have a large selection of beer and it's all very good. Love the art work on the cans. The food is very delicious and everything is priced fair. The owners are very friendly. I highly recommend stopping by.
Great, quiet atmosphere.
Had my Bf’s surprise 60th birthday there, very casual and chill and Talking Cursive and their staff made it the best!! As always, food and drink is wonderful there, but the staff was amazing with all the requests and accommodations, even going so far as to reserve seating for us, which was a wonderful surprise for me! Was our favorite local brewery before, despite fact that they have yet to bring back the orange creamsicle brew (it’s ok, I’m patient, but it’s THAT GOOD), and found a new favorite, coconut cream; seriously folks, go there. You. Will. Not. Regret. It. It’s literally that good. ❤️
Place is nice. David's the man in the kitchen. Couple crispy girls send it. Let's go boys metallica!!!!!
Amazing food and service, drinks are top notch too. You should go here and you should also get beer cheese in some form
I was there with my family on New Year’s Day, and I have to say, every thing, We had was amazing, I had a buffalo chicken sandwich and I think it’s good if you like tangy and spicy, my son had a cheese pizza it’s good for a personal choice, my daughter had the pub pretzel burger I thought it was good, them my other daughter she got a Korean barbecue macaroni and cheese we all thought it was oh I can’t explain it was so so amazing, whoever the chef was if you ever get the Macaroni or anything that I just listed thank the chef on your way out, thank you so much talking cursive and happy new year!!

Great location, great beer, wonderful food and amazing employees!
Excellent on all levels. Timely and informative responses to online inquiries (Alexis). Attentive, friendly and helpful staff (everyone). Great service (Candance?) Delicious food (I was lucky enough to be there for Mac-n-chz flights - the chopped beef Mac is phenomenal!) Good beer. And decadent deserts to die for!
Good beer, good food. Historic area. All plusses. Friendly service too
Great place to get a pint, and a good natured staff.
Stumbled onto this taproom on a quick trip to Syracuse. Absolutely worth the visit. The beer is exceptional - and this is coming from an old school beer nerd who spent the better part of his 20s and 30s making 12 hour cannonball runs to Hill Farmstead and the Alchemist back during the NE beer boom. The food is also top notch, especially the pub burger, but let's get back to the beer. The ESB was done exceptionally well. This is a huge tell for any brewery with the balls to offer an ESB on tap. It was the first thing I ordered and it was really well made.
The Sweet Potato Brown was also fantastic and nailed a style often too consumed with how much Starbucks PSL spice a brewery can add to a fall beer. Subtle spices seep out from a solid brown ale base.
The bottled American barleywine was also spot on - I would love to see what barrel aging could do to this slightly hoppy monster of beer. The guy next to me told me that this was the best brewery in Syracuse, and so far I can't disagree.
