WOW!! So impressed with this place! It is the perfect spot for a date night or girls night out. My husband and I tried it for the first time last year, but I was pregnant at the time and could only have a mocktail. They do have amazing mocktails, though, if that's what you're looking for! We had a reservation, but didn't need one as there were several tables available. We were promptly seated and put in our drink orders. The drinks here are like no other place in the area. I went with the Chichenita and my husband had the penicillin. The prickly pear cold foam was amazing. Their regular menu is limited, offering various appetizers, charcuterie boards and paninis, but we went for the Dining Weeks menu. I ordered the crab cake, smothered chicken and chocolate chip cookie. My husband had the stuffed portobello, seafood stew and cheesecake. For a small cocktail bar with an even smaller kitchen behind the bar, we were so impressed with the quality of the dishes. The single chef worked her magic and produced top-level dishes that you would find at a 5-star restaurant. Everything came out hot and stayed warm the entire time I was eating it. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on this place!

Excellent cocktails mediocre appetizers.Every cocktail was on point. Hands down great. However! The appetizer fell face first. We had two, the Stuffed Portobello and Maryland Crab Dip. The shrooms were delicious but still, somehow missed the mark. Now, the crab dip was.... ummm yeah a salt bomb. Like salt Bea went all crazy and gross sprinkled salt into it. Salt is not flavor!I'll recommend for cocktails 100% and will be here again. Will not be eating here.

What an amazing 4 course menu with cocktail pairings (or mocktails). These were very well thought out mocktails with carefully selected ingredients and flavors. Our menu was themed "Latin America", with a course from Ecuador, Columbia, Venezuela and Mexico. The dishes were plated beautifully, the service was first class. The manager did an excellent job of reviewing each dish and each cocktail. Food allergies were taken into account. The 1st course - Hominy, eggs, cojito cheese and cilantro. 2nd course - Arepa with mozzarella, black beans and avocado. 3rd course - Roast chicken, corn, habanero, plantains, rice and yellow squash. 4th course - Dulce de Leches cake. We also had sorbet between the first two courses. Chef Kiki's food was packed with flavor and expertly prepared. The food and drinks were coordinated nicely. This was a private event, so this is not on their regular menu. They do hold special events so keep a watch on their social media. Check out the website for their everyday menu.

Tallman is an exceptional cocktail bar with the added bonus of incredible food. The drinks are creative, well balanced, and delicious! The food is crafted in a tiny kitchen right behind the bar which is wild because you’d think it was prepared in a master chef kitchen, it’s impeccable. Syracuse has a great cocktail scene but Tallman is absolutely one of our best!

Best cocktails in the city. Some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had any place, really. I haven’t tried much of their food, so this is based primarily on their drinks.

It wasn't too crowded, the staff was attentive and they had a nice drink selection. Nice place to go out if you're in the area.

Absolutely love coming here. One of my favorite spots in downtown syracuse. Reminds me of NYC nice bars to hang around. They have the BEST cocktail selections ever and also the best espresso martinis in town. Bartenders are friendly. The food is okay but I’d recommend just coming here for drinks and a good time! Super chill.

they have such delicious drinks here. i have been going to tallman's every weekend with my foodie bestie. we both love the espresso martinis and the bartenders are super friendly and easy to talk to. they honestly make the best espresso martinis - no joke. i've tried their other drinks which were actually very good as you can see. perfect for date night or even coming in here with your friends!

Stumbled upon this place on date night and couldn’t be more pleased. The menu is small and executed perfectly. The cocktails are cocktails you actually want to drink and not the “IPAs” of newfound glory. The food is thoughtful and well paired. The wait staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are more than reasonable for the value, presentation, and service given. We came in without a reservation, nestled in at the bar, and received prompt, courteous service despite the bustling Saturday night crowd.

We stopped in for a night cap after a celebratory dinner just a couple of doors down. We walked right passed the door as it is dimly lit entrance we were followed by a homeless man who luckily was not aggressive. The ambiance inside was dark and dreary not at all what I expected. There was a strange odor lingering that reminded me of a cigar bar. It was so unappealing I suggested to my friend that we leave. On a positive note we decided to stay the young bartender was pleasant and answered questions regarding wine and drink list. This was on my list of places I wanted to try but I didn’t see any amazing cocktails being served. I had the expectation that they would be offering unique cocktails. It was close to 9pm no food was being served so probably after dining hours and just a few other couples at the bar. It was $34 for two glasses of wine with tip $$. They were good pours and the wine pleasant. I would try the establishment maybe in earlier hours maybe that would shed some light on what amazing food and cocktails they have to offer.

Stopped in here for after dinner drinks during my son's move in week at Syracuse. Nicely appointed place that had a beautiful bar. It was a quiet night so our mixologist spent a lot of time talking to us and made us feel at home. My wife and I had a couple of different cocktails and they were outstanding. I think the gimlet was amazing and I am a bit of a gimlet snob to say the least. My wife had something with the word cloud in it and it was very layered and bursting with flavor. The real star of the show was the banana cream cheesecake which we split. Holy crap was that good. It is made on premises and was one of the best desserts we have had anywhere. Give this place a try for certain
