If you’re at all fond of diner food and diner-style atmosphere, definitely take the time to go to the Gem. They serve breakfast all day and have a great selection of sandwiches and burgers. Try the sweet potato fries! The attached photo is of one of their pancakes: it was bigger than my hand!

This was by far the worst food I ever had there today...I requested a medium burger and received an over cooked one and fries that were obviously cooked and re cooked to warm up and serve...they were so over cooked also.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Gem diner in Syracuse, New York the service the atmosphere in the food was tremendously good My family and I give it a five star review definitely gonna go back
First time ordering online, the prices were totally different, not what they advertised, twice the cost, had a western omelette that was blah, toast not toasted and the home fries tasted like yesterdays, old and again not good, hard and jus threw the onions and peppers on top not al all good ?? I guess since it was take out they don’t care?

Its been awhile since I've eaten here....and the food was Very Good! The staff is just great, very kind and helpful. And, the prices are pretty average across the line. So, Go there and enjoy good food, and good atmosphere !

Day 2 in Syracuse and it made me want to pack up my things and leave due to the horrendous experience I just had with the manager there. I can’t speak for the food because I chose to ask for my money back instead of supporting the restaurant. I will also be reporting to the better business bureau the illegal actions, sending an email to the owner about properly training his leadership in customer service and ethical/normal business practices, and sharing with my over 100 thousand followers what kind of business this place is. And to be frank, from what I saw, the food did not look worth the price.
