GLOBAL SWEEPSTAKES

People visit shops with hallmark Christmas tree town store fronts and remark they had the best cup of coffee there. They are wrong. This, Kind Coffee, is without a doubt, unabashedly, unequivocally, unarcumptiously the best cup of coffee in Syracuse, maybe the world (which expains why he fills so many international mail orders), and I'll shoot down in cold blood anyone who disagrees. There is no Rae Dun cursive on the walls. Just a highly educated tradesman proprietor, a powerful sound system, and the freshest, most expert roasted, finely brewed cup of coffee you'll ever have in your stupid starbucks loving life. Get ready to have real coffee for the first time in your life

Sorted then Sound

Got to try the best quality coffee I've had and also my family really enjoyed it too! Learnt a lot about coffee itself from the interactions. Never before have I realised how bitter supermarket-bought coffee beans can be.

I have had coffee from all over the world. This place is where I had the best. I get my coffee from here even though I live in Edinburgh, Scotland because its worth it. I would recommend this coffee to anybody, it will be the best you ever taste. So much so, every other coffee you ever drink will taste like soil in comparison. It is incredible. Go here for your coffee.

My family stopped in for cup of coffee. Felt like we were at a coffee tasting event. My brothers love this place. Nice guy, very passionate about coffee so we had common “grounds” as we all love coffee and were well caffeinated by time we left .

DEL USER - Taylor Wegner

I just moved to Syracuse and was looking forward to trying this coffee shop after reading the positive reviews. I’d worked in artisanal coffee in Seattle and NYC for years and have been struggling to find a decent roastery in Syracuse. I stopped in today, told the owner it was my first time in and that I’d like a cup of coffee and some beans. He explained that he was only roasting and serving dark roast by the end of the week, so I replied that I’d actually come back on Monday for some light roast beans and just buy a cup to-go for today. He interrupted me mid-sentence to say “try this because you don’t know what you’re talking about” and pushed a sample at me. I interjected, “I do, I’ve worked in coffee in Seattle and NYC for several years.” I took a sip, was underwhelmed by the dark roast (as I knew I would be), and explained that I know I’m not particularly fond of dark roast, which is why I’d rather wait to purchase a full bag of beans. I’ve been drinking good coffee for over a decade and by now I know what I like. I was so thrown off by his arrogance that I decided to not even buy a cup and turned around and left. I’m a young woman and it seemed as though that’s why he profiled me and assumed I “didn’t know what I was talking about.” If not for his flagrant disrespect, I would have purchased a cup today, come back for light roast beans on Monday, and likely returned as a repeat customer for the rest of my time in Syracuse. Folks who don’t know much about coffee sourcing, roasting, and all other aspects of the business might be impressed by his know-it-all attitude, but I’m not impressed by being spoken down to while eagerly trying to support a local small business.
