Last night’s wine pairing dinner was truly a 10/10 experience. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that felt both elegant and comfortable. The chef absolutely blew me away each dish was a masterpiece, perfectly paired with wines that brought out every flavor. You could feel the passion behind every plate and every pour. And the people? Just amazing. Great conversations, great vibes, and an overall unforgettable evening. I left full, happy, and already looking forward to the next one!
The food was absolutely amazing. Loved everything I ate tasted and wish I ordered more to try! I cannot wait to return! Thank you so much!
My wife and I went in to try the seven course wine-paring special and had a great time. Our favorite part was the roasted red pepper soup, which comes with a garnished crouton topped with garlic aioli. We're both vegetarians, which the chefs accommodated on-the-fly and cooked up some delicious options for us. It was such a fun, unique experience! Our waiter was also a super nice person and so good at his job
Vegetarian options: Potato gnocchi, Flatbread with chickpea salad, Roasted Red Pepper soup, Tortellini, Bread and oil

Incredible 7 course meal and wine pairing - the food was delicious and the wine seemed to perfectly complement each dish. We left there pretty full and buzzed. Great place to celebrate an occasion, cant wait to go back!

we had an excellent time at TheTastingRoom. Martine and Zack were incredible hosts and we hope to make it back very soon
Much of the food featured on the restaurant's website was not on the menu. Most disappointing? No cheese board - in a restaurant with a wine menu longer than a CVS receipt! I was also looking forward to the sous vide chicken but they had pan roasted chicken instead. My chicken was dry and under sauced. Only about a teaspoon of sauce for a whole chicken breast. It came with a half dozen small bites of potato. I liked the decor and our party of six had a round table. The table would have been perfect for conversation except we couldn't hear one another over the live music.
We had a wonderful dinner on a Thursday evening. We were early so the restaurant was quiet. We loved everything we ate starting with the scotch and wine, the tinned fish appetizer, then the halibut and the steak frites, followed by the lemon raspberry cake and the chocolate peanut butter cake. Everything was superbly cooked and beautifully plated. Excellent service. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family.
We went to The Tasting Room last night for our anniversary. We had the 7 course menu with the wine pairing. Everything was incredible. Our waiter Thomas was attentive and amazing. Left drunk, full and happy!

We went here because it was close to The Landmark Theater , the service was very slow, it took sometime just to get our drinks. Then we ordered our dinner (Filet) and realized the waiter never asked how we wanted it cooked when we did question he said it came medium rare. That was not on the menu. So we asked for at least for it to be medium. When it came it was cold it the center the fries were also cold. Over all we were not satisfied with our meal at all.

I had the roasted red pepper soup (pictured) and the app size gnocchi. A bowl is brought out with an aesthetic presentation of a row of vegetables and the soup is then poured on top. The soup was well seasoned but the line of vegetables were ice cold and the soup itself was room temp. The gnocchi was so flavorful but also room temp. And I had already mentioned that the soup wasn’t hot. 4 stars instead of 3 because the food was delicious and I hope next time it’s also served hot.

Didn't eat or drink. But what they did to open up to Salina Street is wonderful.

This is my second time eating at The Tasting Room. Before leaving the first time, I knew I would bring my family back for another meal. It is a few doors down from The Landmark Theater making it a perfect place to eat before seeing a show. (You also get street parking space early, a definite plus in that part of Syracuse.) The ambiance is wonderfully calm. And the staff is beyond welcoming. The seasonal menu means you always get to enjoy something new on return trips. The food is simple but flavorful and filling, and not overpriced for what you get. The desserts are also fantastic. It's hard to choose just one! I highly recommend The Tasting Room for anyone befor seeing a show at The Landmark or for any special occasion.
The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was great. Thank you.
