Off topic BUT- My daughter and her boyfriend had their Jeep surrounded by 4 black males tonight, giving the impression they were armed. After trying to get the driver to put down the window and another at the passenger window, they backed out & drove away.

I ordered a filet and they served me a baseball sirloin. Told me the price was $48 and it ended up being $56 on the bill. Beyond that, the steak that I ordered medium-rare was half overcooked and half undercooked—like they left it on the pan on one side too long. And to further this, the mashed potatoes I got were cold and gritty.

Attended an event here, the OWNER himself made it very clear that his establishment was not made for people of color, in those exact words. Then proceeded to ask the DJ to cut the music so the black people left. Needless to say I definitely won’t step foot in that place again.

Went on a Wednesday evening with 5:30 reservation for 5. This is a relatively small place. Pros: Round table was very nice for a group; menu had a good variety but was not a huge overwhelming # of items. Cons: Still had to wait 15 minutes even though we had a reservation; we all felt that we needed to yell to converse it was so loud/cavernous in there; pricey menu - the basic chicken dish I had was $28 - chicken piece was small and slightly overcooked; service was slow.

The York….what can I say other than AMAZING!! This place is packed and well worth it! We ordered the Poutine to start and if I would have known it was this good, it would have been my meal! But nevertheless, I ordered a Filet Mignon with Mac and cheese and it was cooked med-rare to perfection! Mac and Cheese was also amazing! I included a photo of my colleague’s pasta dish (can’t remember the name) but it was also good! If you are in downtown Syracuse don’t sleep on this one, check out The York! You won’t be disappointed!

Had oysters for 1 dollar each. Rib eye with lobster tail and strip steak med . oysters were delightful steaks were rare and tasty. First lobster tail was undercooked. Got a replacement and that lobster tail tasted off. Flies followed it to the table. We will return for the oysters and maybe a simple burger.
