While the vibe and atmosphere was great, the food was extremely average and the service was slow. The Caesar salad was delicious, but the Tuna Poke Rice cakes were barely edible ( rice cakes were hard to chew). My spouse ordered the Fish and Chips but was originally served the pork chop. Took 10 additional minutes to bring him his fish and chips and the chips (fries) were lukewarm. Very disappointing.

Honestly, in town on a Sunday for one night. Wasn’t that hungry at all but tried the burger and it was terrible came out rare when supposed to be medium but also the fries were over cooked and smothered in Parmesan and it was like sick and I am
Tired of crappy restaurants just wanting to fatten America! Margaritas ok but my husband had to turn back old fashion twice and the wine list sucked. We are wine snobs and had to go mixed drinks cause wines by the glass were bad!

Was very hopeful about this place. Orderd the 24 oz ribeye med rare, came out rare plus with plastic on it . Complained to the waitress about the plastic she said they take it out of plastic so Im assuming it was sous vide, then when I cut into the first half was complete fat, not marbling but ALL fat.The manager tried to tell me thats how ribeyes come like I don't know what a ribeye is like. Anyway, not an offer to discount anything. We spent over 500 dollars for 5 people (2 of which had salads).
Will not be returning.

Unexpected delight @yorkcny last night 😍

I was immediately charmed by the ambience– black shiny brick, big mirrors, and lots of green plants surrounded attractive seating– and hoped the food would measure up.

The pork chop was well-cooked and flavorful but even more delicious was the egg and fried rice that surrounded it. The presentation was lovely (see little flower!!!)

The bone marrow appetizer was delicious, assuming you enjoy Gorgonzola (I do)

The pasta’s size was shockingly generous, and it was creamy and flavorful. The Calabrian peppers definitely gave it a nice kick.

The Snicker’s cookie topped with ice cream was exactly what I wanted– straight-forward, simple, and nostalgic.

As for the drinks, I wasn’t drinking tonight but my friend ordered the [Not Your Mama’s] Amaretto Sour which featured an overproof rum and was absolutely insanely delicious. Would highly recommend.

Will be returning likely this summer to grab a table in the lovely outdoor section!

Blonde girl is rude and terrible with waitressing. What a joke. Disgusting.

Caution! Overpriced with a no refund deposit for reservations! What do you think this is, NYC??? Then the food would be better. Nothing in Syracuse should treat their customers this way.

My wife and I went for a date night. The atmosphere was great, the decor was amazing. We got there early and sat on one of the couches. The hostess was pleasant and accommodating. We were sat at a table by the window. Our server Sierra was very nice and welcoming. We ordered the poutine for an appetizer. It was amazing, so delicious. There was enough for 4 people. I ordered the pork chop, it was so tender and full of flavor. My wife ordered the Tanglewood chicken. That was amazing. The crispy fried chicken skin and collard greens were so good. The chicken was tender and juicy my wife said. We did not get dessert, I cannot eat too much due to having gastric bypass. We do not drink alcohol so no reviews on their drinks. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful date night.

After driving four hours from Philly, my wife and I wanted to have a nice meal. This restaurant both online and on their front door indicated that they were open and so was the kitchen. When we went in there must have been 10+ tables of people still dining. Yet, the hostess advised us they weren't seating anyone despite their hours of operation not closing for some time. When I asked about this they indicated that the kitchen "decided to close early". Unprofessional and poor service.

Popped in for a last minute dinner and sat at the bar. Drinks, food, service and atmosphere are all on point. Steak was prepared perfectly and was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be here again.

I visited with my Syracuse University girlfriends during the recent Coming Back Together (CBT) earlier this month and was pleasantly surprised. The female DJ was absolutely amazing - The York was probably the best establishment we visited during our weekend trip to Syracuse! If you are in town and are looking for NYC vibes and great music - drop in!
