We had an issue recently with the take out service at Tullys in Fairmount which was a rare occurrence. The food is always consistent and service prompt. I felt it was important to share my experience with management as I knew it was not typical of this location. I was called by Allen the manager who had been a friendly face for years. Their chicken tenders and fish are good, everything else is generally disappointing. The flat iron steak was cooked well, but the meat itself was so gristly that most of it was inedible. The mashed potatoes needed flavor, it seemed they were cooked without butter, salt or pepper. This is the second or third time we've gone that I've tried to order something besides chicken tenders and been disappointed.
The food is great. Very consistent great family spot. Waiting for the server is another thing. We came early after appointments, she had 2 customers. Service is about the worst I have received. Waiting to pay doesn't encourage a large tip she should consider the 15% she got as a gift and hope for more enthusiasm.
