Decided to get a slice of pizza on my lunch break, have heard great things! Service wasn't friendly but wasn't particularly unfriendly. I ordered a single slice at the front counter.. not sure if they usually reheat it? Anyways there wasn't a lick of warmth and the pizza was hardening, no melty cheese. Was a bit disappointing as I was treating myself for a slice and I'm hoping from other positive reviews it usually is better, maybe just not the pizza to go counter.

Varsity, at the corner of Crouse and Marshall in Syracuse has been around seemingly forever. It’s pretty much a way of life at Syracuse University. ‘Meet me at Varsity’ was a thing back when I was a student there, and it still is today as the next generations of students makes it their own. Yeah, Varsity is definitely a tradition at the CUSE. Their menu is pretty expansive and hasn’t change much in the last decade or so. They have a lot of sandwich and sub options, as well as some wraps. A fan favorite has always been their wings and pizza. Those two staples alone kind of put Varsity on the map, and that’s what I ordered. The chicken wings were as good as ever. Nice and crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The BBQ sauce was just perfect. The pepperoni slice that I got to accompany the wings was also good. The crust was particularly outstanding. Loved it!
A lot has changed on Marshall St. over the last decade or so. A few beloved shops are gone replaced by the flavor of the day. Some old-time places have thankfully remained, with Varsity being one of them. Whenever I make the drive up from the City for a football or basketball game, I try and stop in for a quick bite. This is a place worth going to when you’re in the area. The food is great and the people are friendly. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Say they hiring and I drive a half hour to find zero parking unless you walk a half mile and pay a fortune. Not a good location
Wonderful place. Good people and good vibes. The tuna melt is excellent.

Love Varsity Pizza! I remember when I was younger going to SU games but swinging by Varsity’s for a slice before the game.
Great old school atmosphere if you’re an Orange fan. Good hoagies and pizza. Very friendly staff.

Great fast food joint
Montae was the best wrap maker. I gave him a #andys.mobile.detailing wrist band.

Food is good, but the staff can be rude. One person in particular made fun of me for my order very loudly. Not sure if I’ll go back.

Food was ok. Prices are a little high. But, it's quick and the portions will fill you up.
