Nice little pub five minutes off the highway. Although the building is historically the oldest pub in the city, it has been remodeled and brought up to today’s standards but you can tell the good times are still rolling in and out that door. Super friendly folks. Barmaid was top notch, super friendly and kind. we told her we were from out of town and traveling through and she gave us some good suggestions for the area. This place is truly a gem in the Syracuse area. We recently had a birthday party here and it was perfect. The owner, Pete, couldn’t be nicer and was incredibly accommodating. He wanted to make sure we had the perfect day and it was nothing shy of just that! I very strongly recommend the clipper tavern for a causal happy hour, a place to watch SU sports, a place to throw a party, and any/everything in between!!
My family and I recently held a 40th birthday party at the Clipper and it was beyond what we could had asked for! The owner Peter & his staff did everything possible to help our party be a hit. Everything from ordering the food for us, giving us reign of the music, helping set up our decorations & running around with us on the day of, providing great service/drinks and such a wonderful space to celebrate- it was truly a great place to have a party.
