Enjoyed a wonderful lunch with family. Many lunch specials offered (and most include soup or salad), in addition to regular menu. The bread here is to die for- crusty exterior with soft, chewy interior. Service was friendly and efficient, and all food items were prepared exactly as ordered. Will definitely be back. La Fontanella on Route 303 in Tappan is a fantastic restaurant. The food is great, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated. The menu is amazing and includes a children’s menu as well. We were especially impressed that they were able to accommodate us on a Saturday at 5 PM. I highly recommend La Fontanella!

Old schiol Italian joint hiding in plain sight. Excellent specials, great quality and tasty. Staff was on point! Wine list needs an update and decor could use a refresh but hey GO for the food and you will leave 😊 😃, no doubt! Looking forward to the old school chicky parm, and definitely gonna hit up the lunch menu next time!

We love La Fontanella in Tappan - it feels like one of those places you can bring anyone to and know they’ll leave happy. The food is always spot-on, but what really stood out this time was how much my daughter enjoyed it. Watching her dive into her plate like it was the best thing ever pretty much sealed it. This place isn’t just great for adults, it’s awesome for kids too. A true neighborhood gem.

i've been there many times and it never fails. whether the veal parm with spaghetti, the clams or the egg drop soup, this italian spot is awesome and doesnt break the bank, in an environment that breaks the bank often
Food was cold, tasteless and seemed frozen. Not freshly made. Seems to be new owners or new kitchen staff either way, never returning.

Really good food. Nice atmosphere. Clean. The staff & service is always a hit or miss. Sometimes you get attitudes sometimes you get friendly faces. Week day evenings is best to go if you want a quiet & quickly served dinner. Weekends and holidays gets super crowded and service becomes a bit unreasonably slow - for example this past new years eve we waited over 2hrs for food. We come often- its local- food is great- and again people will be people so maybe just a bad day? It hasn't been anything major enough to stop us from coming but there is definitely room for improvement. Also quick mention the prices are very reasonable. I have fed 8 people (including steak dinners) for right around $300 with tip just to give some perspective. So overall worth it for now.

We had Mother’s Day here a couple years ago, and went back recently. The food is good and the service even better. It can get crowded and the noise can be a bit much if you are looking for a quiet meal, but otherwise it was great!
