We’ve been here many times, and the service is always excellent. It’s a great spot to visit, especially if someone in the group isn’t a fan of seafood. Although it’s a seafood restaurant, they offer a variety of delicious Korean dishes. Our favorites are 김치찌개, 돈까스, and 한치회무침—which almost tastes like 물회, just without the soup. All the rolls are fantastic as well. Highly recommend!

I didn't leave an 18% tip because the service wasn't that great. To my face, he was disapproving that I was only given this. I gave them more, but... This is the first time I’ve heard this in 30 years of living in the United States. I didn't leave a tip because I was satisfied, but I feel bad because I feel like I was ripped off. The service is not good. I recommend it.

I went in broad daylight on a Sunday and there was no one; I understand why business is not working. The side dishes were all dry, and they said they would give you 3 types of raw fish if you paid extra, but only two came out, so I asked and they said there was no raw fish, and the ladies were really unfriendly and unpleasant, and only gave me the cost of the food. It feels like the food rotation isn't quite right. Sure enough, I was suffering from food poisoning the next day, so I called and was told to drink warm water and rest! No words to say sorry, I suffered for three days and the doctor gave me a diagnosis, but it was so bad that I didn't even want to deal with it. It was the worst restaurant and worst food in my life. It's a trauma that will make you feel nauseous whenever you go here and watch it for a while.

You might find 'better=expensive' places, but I like this place due to the simple options, with food that everyone can enjoy, including good quality sashimi. Everyone is nice, and would like to visit again soon. Highly recommend.

I went to Tappan Sushi with my husband for lunch who is from Uruguay. He was not into korean, japanese type food but that changed it all when we first came here. I am korean and i need to have my korean food and japanese sushi, sashimi!!!Always great food and service is great. This is our 5th or 6th visit. There are 2 very attentive and friendly waitresses and they are always working. Super great people. Also the sushi chef, the same sushi chef when i go there always greets us when we come in. That is how it should be, greeting customers in a friendly manner. One big thumbs up, the food comes right away, that is the way all restaurants should be. Plus, extremely fresh fish and all the foods i have tried. Cant say enough good things about this restaurant. The Restroom is super clean,smells like fresh Clorox which means they clean it daily. The owner, i think is korean have the best staff and chef.Thank you Tappan Sushi!See you again soon!

I am korean and i need to have my korean food and japanese sushi, sashimi!!!Always great food and service is great. This is our 5th or 6th visit. There are 2 very attentive and friendly waitresses and they are always working. Super great people. Also the sushi chef, the same sushi chef when i go there always greets us when we come in. That is how it should be, greeting customers in a friendly manner. One big thumbs up, the food comes right away, that is the way all restaurants should be. Plus, extremely fresh fish and all the foods i have tried. Cant say enough good things about this restaurant. The Restroom is super clean,smells like fresh Clorox which means they clean it daily.
