The vibe of this place is great, staff was really friendly and food was great. I give this place a lower review because of how disorganized the servers were. We had a large group, and when the apps finally came out, everything was messed up. Items were missing and it was just chaos with the waitress calling out who got what. Just seemed very unprofessional and was annoying to repeat multiple times what were missing. Then the entrées came out and were ice cold. We waited a long time for this food and for it to be cold was beyond disappointing.I got the fried green tomatoes with burrata, it was delicious. Also, we highly recommend the banana pudding. We went back the next day to get it to go.I want to rate highly, it is a beautiful spot and the outside area looked really nice.

This is my go to date night spot! The ambiance is perfect for a romantic night out or a fun place for friends and family to gather and connect! The food is absolutely out of this world, I recommend the string beans, the biscuits and the grilled shrimp appetizer!

Drinks are superb, Luke, I believe that’s the male bartenders name is awesome and super friendly. This was myfifth time there and the food is decent. I will definitely stick with the potato skins and the catfish. If you’re open to constructive criticism, some of your dishes could do with a lot less salt Oh and the fried chicken is still an issue. That being said -it is a fun place, cool atmosphere and great vibes ?

Immediately condescending rude host/waitress, a typical angry tattooed member of the man hating liberal mafia. What hurts is, I’m with my daughter my mother and girlfriend and her rudeness really upset me and ruined my evening. And because my response to her wasn’t satisfactory, she made sure I got some gnarly piece of chicken for my sandwich to be sure I was dissatisfied with my dinner. I just don’t understand why people act like this, like customers are all corralled animals; we’re people and have our own bad days and need hospitality and service and friendliness. That’s your job. Just so entitled and disappointing. This place is normally pretty good and I’ve been a regular customer. I’m not returning. So please thank your hostess for that.I recently received a response to the review above, almost immediately, so it’s clear that you, the “owner” remembered distinctly who I was and exactly what happened. We entered from the other side, the host stand was blocked by 2 patrons, I stopped for less that 10 seconds, turned, when you arrived with your disgruntled lunch lady energy, when I told you we had a reservation politely, you responded with such a patronizing attitude, like I was literally a child, because you’re such a “big girl.” Of course it angered me so I answered with that same energy and you got scared, which is hilarious. How very emo of you. I enjoyed the appetizers. My chicken sandwich was off. I guess that’s just a coincidence. I pretended for the sweet ladies I was with, but I wasn’t the only one that noticed the curt tone directed solely at me, because I’m so scary. I voiced my disdain when my daughter was in the restroom. I do possess self awareness, I know when I’m being a prick, but you are in a level of denial that is mind boggling. I did my best to be cordial with you while you retained the attitude of middle schooler that just got dissed on tick tock. I’m not sure if I resemble the drummer in high school that never called, but that’s not my fault. For a business owner your response to this is as childish and immature as your behavior last night. It’s passive aggressive, it’s body language, it’s not always direct. Just a news flash, people can pick up on that. I even tried to be cool with you, but you just had to keep that energy with me. Stop being a victim and admit you were wrong and then we’re cool. I have no interest in continuing this, but I had to answer your deluded response. My review was pretty tame. Maybe you should get a tattoo commemorating the horrible injustice that has befallen you, that’s what big girl’s do, right?

We visited for the first time for dinner and glad we did! The space is cozy (despite it actually being quite spacious), relaxed, quirky and fun. The menu has several veg options and the drink list a very tasty non-alcoholic IPA for all those practicing drynuary (like us). The fries were too salty but otherwise well made. We would gladly return.

They are absolutely not safe for celiacs, their menu is supposed to have gluten free and they have cross contamination with fried covered in wheat !! This place needs to be closed for good. Terrible service and food and kitchen is dirty. Just terrible

There are multiple delicious vegan and vegetarian options at Darlings, as well as amazing drinks and immaculate vibes. It’s a little on the pricey side, but it’s worth it, and that’s the only reason I’m not there more often! Every visit is a delight, never a disappointment. Favorite restaurant in the area.

Fantastic food & cocktails! We enjoyed the shrimp skewers, veggie burger, both salads and regular burger. Everything was delicious! The decor is really cool and the outside area looks like it would be great in the warmer weather. This is one of our new favorite spots in the new Paltz area! Worth checking out, we will be back! P.S you must try the banana pudding it is the best!! (Better than magnolias in nyc)

Pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was. The burger was great! The green beans were cooked perfectly not over cooked or undercooked. I loved the velvet cowboy cocktail also lots of beers on tap. Fun vibe inside. We enjoyed our evening and will return.
