Ordered dinner for Mother's Day takeout and the food was EXCEPTIONAL. We had two chicken dishes and the salmon, and everyone agreed it was the best meal we have eaten in a long time. Just moved to the area and gave this place a try. They are takeout only as of right now. I called in an order and the fella I spoke to was just..unbelievably nice it’s funny when you realize you are not often treated that way by strangers! Anyway, off to a great start! Hubby and his dad pick up the food and chat with the owners who are a son and father duo. Adorable. They work super hard together for this family business, and make amazing food. Oh yeah, THE FOOD. Sooooo yummy! Fine dining but to-go, amazing portion sizes, something for everyone, super reasonable prices. Great energy. Will be back and will spread the word! ???

We order for Thanksgiving dinner. This is the first year we decided not to cook. I order the Salmon it was delicious and the portion was amazing. My boyfriend got the ham. He could not even finish it.

My mother-in-law celebrated a milestone birthday turning 80 years old and my in-laws celebrated their anniversary in early August. We (the kids and their spouses) wanted to do something special! Recognizing we could not make a trip to celebrate in person because of the coronavirus pandemic, we called The Postage Inn for a special take-out order. At our request, they prepared shrimp cocktail, lobster tails, filet mignon and sides of salad, roasted vegetables and dinner rolls. And they baked a beautiful birthday cake for dessert. If that weren't enough, they also included a flower arrangement in a glass vase to complete the celebration. According to my mother-in-law, the entire meal was delicious and the portions generous - they enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you to everyone at The Postage Inn who was involved in ensuring that my in-laws had a fantastic meal to celebrate their birthday and anniversary. In these trying times, it's difficult to find silver linings but this take-out celebration dinner will be remembered for a long time. We hope to dine at The Postage Inn the next time we are in town to thank the staff personally.

After having lived in Rosendale for a year and a half now, we figured we were definitely overdue for a 1st time visit to The Postage Inn. Now this was just a few days ago, hence Takeout only due to the whole Covid-19 garbage going on. Anyway we placed an order for the Cowboy burger and the Wings which were made with this incredibly good homemade rum-based glaze. I placed the order with James over the phone a few hours prior, anticipating the possibility of being busy for takeout on a Sunday evening. Upon arrival to pickup, it was not busy at all. I walked in and there was a very friendly and smiling James with my order all ready to go right in front of him on the counter. He struck me s the kind of guy who really enjoys what he does and has pride in his work (for a change), and also appreciates his customers genuinely. Another thing not often seen nowadays so it went a long way in my mind. As for the meals, they were fantastic! The wings were absolutely bursting with flavor and were thick and meaty, but also crispy on the outside. The burger was the kind that you always hope to get, but rarely do. The burger itself was thick and juicy and took up the entire bun with no room left over. It came with cheese, a big fried onion ring and BBQ sauce on the side. The piece de resistance was the bacon. Plentiful, very high quality in taste and texture and crisp! I have not one criticism about the food itself. There were also a side of slaw and hand cut fries, which are my favorite. One of the things I was most impressed with was that our personal requests regarding how the food be cooked were not only honored, but done just as asked. The latter in my experience is EXTREMELY rare, so I was very pleasantly surprised. In this case, we asked for well done fries, very crisp bacon and well done wings. We got everything we asked for, gratefully. It's not the cheapest place around, but then again, at the risk of using a cliche...you get what you pay for. So while you might have a slight case of initial price-shock, that will quickly fade away as you begin to experience visually and physically the eating experience here. Between James' professionalism and appreciation and the food itself, there is no doubt we will return and are looking forward to trying other menu items here. Overall highly recommended.
