Friendly baristas. Cute spot. The coffee, however, is not to my taste: burnt, acrid, astringent. It’s second wave coffee, Italy by way of Seattle, “dark roast.” Not for me, and not for you if you’re used to third wave coffee.

Love their coffee and other drinks and they're always super nice. Like most things around here, it's expensive, but that's to be expected.

The coffee is truly great- clearly made with passion and heart- and I love the little gathering area in the garden behind the hotel. You can text to order ahead if you don’t have time to wait. So convenient!

My partner and I love exploring different parts of NY state. Our usual hotel in a different area was totally booked so after some research and careful consideration, we decided to book a stay at Hotel Tivoli. Even though we knew from the reviews that this was going to be a very lovely hotel, Hotel Tivoli and its staff really exceeded our expectations. We were first greeted by Susan, who was very welcoming and charming. The room we stayed in, room 2, was the perfect sized room and I immediately fell in love with the decor and the overall vibe of the room. The art is spectacular and we particularly loved the small details of the room like the small clay vases and freshly cut flowers. We also greatly enjoyed dining downstairs at the Corner. I especially recommend drinking the de peyster cockail as you watch the sunset in Tivoli. Also, the continental breakfast is very good! Delicious coffee, eggs, fresh fruit, and yogurt. In fact, we loved it so much that when Susan suggested we extend our stay, we did! We can't wait to come back here and spend another long weekend at a truly spectacular hotel.

We heard really good things about the Hotel Tivoli, which is really a bed & breakfast. Our experience is probably different than most others. We needed 2 rooms and that wasn’t available. But they did have a 2 bedroom suite in the adjacent building. At least we didn’t have to worry about any late noise from a downstairs bar/restaurant. But the suite only had one wall AC unit which made it very difficult to cool all the rooms. Bedrooms doors had to be left open to get the cool air. A benefit of the suite is that it has a very nice sitting room. Unfortunately, the furniture (as seems to be in all the rooms) was more about art than function. The couch was really uncomfortable. On the plus side, the breakfast each morning was really good. Another negative is the automatic service charge for housekeeping. I didn’t see that on the bill until after we left—which was frustrating since I left something for housekeeping. Maybe a little sign in the room or something would be helpful. I enjoyed the hotel for the weekend, but I would probably stay some place else on a future visit.

I booked this for a visit to see my son's senior art exhibition at Bard College and it was the perfect place to stay for an art-filled weekend! There are art galleries and lovely stores on the same block. It is 5 minutes from the campus and the most convenient hotel I've stayed at in all my years of visiting. The hotel and rooms are filled with eclectic furniture gems and art. The Corner Restaurant has the best food I've ever had at any boutique hotel (complimentary breakfast!), and The Corner Bar was the perfect place to gather with friends after the show. There's also an espresso hut open in the mornings in the parking lot. The staff is wonderful! I've never tipped so well in my life. It was a wonderful weekend escape!

My husband, labrador and I spent a weekend here. It is full of art, great design and great food. The hotel looks like a big old house from the outside. Inside, the rooms are smartly curated and very comfortable. Breakfast comes with your stay. The food is an assortment of locally sourced items perfectly prepared. We ate dinner in the restaurant both nights. It was a real treat. Again, locally sourced foods prepared so beautifully. The staff is very nice and really helpful. Tara suggested hiking not far from Tivoli at Olana State Park. It was beautiful. We shopped in Hudson which was full of unique shops, in particular furniture and design. We will definitely visit again.

Great drinks and I had a wonderful filet with an onion subise. The burrata appetizer my wife had was really good and I had Wellfleet oysters that were very fresh and sweet. I had the fresh baked chocolate cookies with sea salt and espresso. Devin does a wonderful menu.

I booked this trip out a while back as a nice getaway mid summer. I though the space looked nice but was not expecting much in terms of hospitality given how busy everywhere has been. Tara and the Hotel Tivoli team were great and ended up making our stay. We planned to only do one dinner at the hotel but ended up doing two since the food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Breakfasts were a nice treat to come down to good coffee and eggs. Very convenient location, ten min or less to local farm stands/ berry picking and next door to fortunes ice cream. We definitely will be coming back.

Pretentious. In nice old structure, rooms decorated with miscellanea of worn thrift store furniture of radically mixed periods, and in our small room with double bed, no desk, table, or chest of drawers, neither of which one seems appropriate to what they appear to be offering -- stylishly vintage place, well-preserved vintage furniture (customary in similarly aged B&Bs) - so the place seems overpriced. (Especially since there is only a $10/night additional charge for a spacious room and queen bed , but which would also be too much $$.) Upstairs sitting area stylishly furnished. And room prices are posted no where online -- not even on their own website -- which makes one feel that when you call for the price they determine it by your area code, voice, accent, and manner of speaking. They can charge this because there are so few independent hotels or B&Bs in the area that are not generic corporate chains, but still. . . The experience was balanced by nice view of trees from room, delicious and abundant breakfast on the front porch and exceptionally gracious and helpful hostess/manager.
