I've eaten here before and the food is okay. But they're getting a mediocre review for me today because I literally got there 3 minutes after they stop seating, 45 minutes before they close, and they refused to sit a single person for a sushi roll. It was so rigid and lame. They lost my love.

Definitely the best sushi in the area and the best restaraunt in Tivoli! The decorations inside give it a really cozy and welcoming vibe— the staff were super friendly and the service was fast. The menu gives you plenty of options and a wide range of appetizers and dinners to choose from. The sushi was incredibly fresh and everything tasted great. Would reccomend Osaka to anyone looking for a delicious dinner at a reasonable price!

Went there last night with my wife and 2 month old. Google has their hours as open until 8:30 and we arrived at 8:10. When we walked through the door we were greeted with "Sorry the kitchen is closed" I told the host that their hours on Google read 8:30 and we received the same response. I asked if we could get food to go and we were told the Kitchen closes at 8:15 for take out. I responded that it was 8:10 and then she went back to the same "kitchen is closed" response. There is a very simple resolution to this-if you are going to stop serving at 8 or 8:10 just change your hours online. Don't have people come in and disappoint them. We ended up going to Petit Bistro in Rhinebeck(arrived at 8:40 and they close at 9)and they could not have been more welcoming.

I love y'all so much. The food is really made with good vibes you can tell. Loyal to Osaka since day one.. no literally, been coming here since I was a babyUpdate 2 years later—- I feel declining in quality and hospitality unfortunately. :( too bad.

Best sushi in the area by far. Very fresh and a wide variety of options but not overwhelming. Food came out fast. There are also a good selection of appetizers and kitchen meals. Highly recommend the age dashi tofu. Really good prices and cozy and colorful atmosphere. Staff are friendly and warm.

A well decorated little restaurant in a quaint town. The food was wonderful, their miso soup was the best any of us have had. The service was outstanding. And the food was phenomenal. Its definitely worth the trip.

Was there with a group of friends. The two teenage waitresses barely hid their hostility. I kinda wish we'd have been kicked out over enduring the passive aggressive atmosphere. I had some rolls labeled spicy but those rolls had never seen a flavor. I guess that's on me for having an expectation/believing the other reviewers.

Best sushi spot in Hudson Valley. Have been coming here for years and it’s always good, even better since Marco took over. Very fresh , nice presentation, even on takeout, and reasonably priced. Good assortment of non sushi for your non sushi guests. Nice assortment of rolls for the more adventurous. Very pleasant wooden decor makes dine-in good for any occasion, but careful prep ontakeout (along with a nice plating at home) means you can also have a nice “restaurant” meal at home. I’m a chef and have eaten at some of the best big city high end sushi places and trust me, for the price Osaka Tivoli is a deal. Not same owner/etc as the Rhinebeck Osaka BTW. FYI lunch special a great less expensive option with a bit smaller portions.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available but limited obviously, it’s about the fish here.Kid-friendliness: Great for kids and family.

Fairly unimpressive. At times the fish is fresh, but hard to enjoy considering the price point for how much you get. They have no updated menus online or in their restaurant so it's always more than you think it's going to be. Even a combo lunch for one, with tip will be about $20-25 which is steep considering the rolls are 6 pieces, not 8 and they are very small. I think the food here is good, but it's really overpriced considering they have no atmosphere and operate as a take out only place for lunch. The one in rhinebeck is really much better. I only go here out of necessity since it's close by.
