Bear Mountain Inn

I was in town for a wedding. Beautiful and conformable room. The front desk and other employees need a course in hospitality. This jerk in resort car acted like he was going to ram right into us, instead of being a decent human being having patience for 1 minute.

Thanksgiving buffet was a total disappointment. Food was cold & tasteless & lines to get it were long. Plates weren't clean and watched one guy handle several plates putting his discards on another pile of clean dishes for someone else to take - disgusting...especially when you took a good look at the guy doing it. It was a different configuration than last year & it didn't work. Heard other patrons saying same thing. It was expensive for this kind of experience. We definitely won't return for any holiday buffet at Bear Mountain Inn.

Our beds were very comfortable but we couldn't figure out how to control the air conditioner temperature. Our room was way too cold. We called the front desk, but they were unable to help at that time. The air conditioner did turn off later that evening, but we had no idea how that happened.
We were also mistakenly charged for items that were in the room. We had to call after we got home to dispute the extra charges on our invoice. They corrected the error the next day.
The Bear Mountain Inn staff were very receptive and friendly.
We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed at your establishment for an overnight for a wedding October 19-20 2024. Your facilities are lovely and the wedding was the same. I do have a couple of comments ..my husband is physically disabled and number one. Your showers in the rooms have no bars for safety. Number two there is no elevator...climbing the stairs up and down to attend the function downstairs was very difficult for him. The food that was served at the wedding was absolutely delicious both the main meal and the cocktail hour hor d'oeuvres! Thanks. Barbara Allen

Stone cottage room was well furnished, renovated and clean. It was a pleasant stay. The view of Hessian Lake filtered by the autumn leaves was spectacula! A nice half mile easy trek to Bear Mountain main lodge for dinner.

We had to wait for hours to get in our room. We stayed for three days and every day our card was canceled. we had to go all the way back down and get a new card every day.
Absolutely beautiful location just the running of it was bad at every single turn.

Rooms: Extremely small cabins, pretty musty, one air conditioner for six rooms so if one person said it and went in to go to sleep, someone else could come and change it. If you lean too far forward, you could hit your head on the wall while sitting on the toilet. Best water pressure ever.

Nearby activities: A little hard to get to the cabins coming right off the circle, but it is pretty convenient to get to everything leaving the cabins

My wife and I had a lovely visit to the Bear Mountain Inn. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed which was quite welcomed after a long day in the road. The setting was beautiful with the autumn leaves in near-peak color.

Stayed two nights at Overlook Lodge with a a beautiful view of Hessian Lake and the golden trees. Dinner and afternoon tea at 1915 were awesome. Staff is exceptional! I’ll be back.
