My experience with the English Afternoon Tea was overall pleasant but also a bit disappointing. The waitress was very kind, attentive, and respectful. Since I was alone, she offered me a 2-tier tray instead of the usual 3-tier one, which I accepted. However, I was charged $28 at the end, the same price as a 3-tier service, which I found unfair.
Pretty average food. Some came out cold. Steak was way over cooked. We were just starving and had to eat it Lol Service also took superrrr long, wish we just took an uber to a different place off site because it still ended up being like $150! :/
The restaurant 1915 is located on the second floor of the historic Bear Mountain Inn, and for most visitors, it’s the only real dining option in the park if you’re hoping for something more substantial than trail mix or a packed lunch. And you do pay for the premium. At noon, it operates buffet-style, charging for about $60 a person, with only a moderate selection of food. For hot foods, you can’t serve yourself.
