The food and drinks are very good. This is the second time we went there. First time we had Rafael as a bartender. He is not friendly at all! Did not make us feel welcome. We went again today, January 2nd and said Hi to Rafael and he ignored us. And we were sitting at the bar for around 10 mintues. Rafael was there at not one word to us. Carlos another bartender came to take our drink and food menu. Carlos was great and made us feel welcome and at home. Carlos is wonderful! Management needs to address Rafael customer service. We are paying for a service. It is not free!

Me and my bf love this place! We come every month! It's beautifully decorated, the food tastes very good, the drinks are great - especially passion margarita with the bottle of prosecco. The staff are friendly and attentive. This is our favorite place to go to. We've taken our friends and family here and they all love it too. Their tres leche is the best I've tasted! On friday nights, a mariachi band plays at the restaurant and they are very good too. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

We've been here three times now, and every visit has been fantastic. The food is absolutely delicious—authentic and clearly made with love. It's a Mexican-owned business, which we really appreciate and are proud to support. Wendy and Rafael are wonderful hosts who make us feel like we're visiting family each time we come in. We'll definitely keep coming back!

I’ve dined here several times, usually indoors with a great Mexican-themed ambiance and excellent air conditioning (bring a sweater!). This visit, I sat outside and enjoyed a thick coconut daiquiri and red sangria—both tasty, though I prefer sangria in a wine glass with visibly more fruit in it rather served in a mason-type jar with a handle.

The highlight was the Molcajete: a huge hot stone bowl loaded with a spicy, savory broth, a mix of beef, pork, chicken, and well-seasoned shrimp I added for $5. The melted cheese was a nice addition to the bold, slightly charred meats. Warm tortillas came wrapped in foil, along with smoky charro beans with bacon - very good.

My husband’s salmon Veracruzan was disappointing—dry and bland with plain rice and steamed veggies, lacking the promised blackened flavor.

Overall, a satisfying meal with great drinks and atmosphere, but some dishes are stronger than others.

I dont like to write reviews due to everyone has there own taste and preferences but this place is worthy of my review very good food amazing drinks are great I had the ceviche wife mini chimichangas for apps and for entree I had the surf and turf and she had the birria tacos all straight up amazing worth the drive to get here 7/21/25

I once gave this place raving reviews, but the quality of the food has really gone way down! I don’t know if it’s because of a new restaurant manager or if there’s a different chef. Food seemed precooked and mushy!. Service was just eh. The place totally lost its charm! Very disappointed:(

Always good. Excellent guacamole made table-side. Margaritas are delicious. They always fit in a big party even if making rez a bit late (a few days before). We can always count on Rio to come through.

Love this place! Always a great pick for a date night. Food is excellent and on Fridays they have a mariachi band that plays!!! Such a fun atmosphere 😊
