Hi friends. I’m here to take you on an unforgettable horror story, so buckle your fweaking seatbelts.

Twas a Saturday night at 6 PM on my mother’s birthday. She yearned for hibachi, so we went to a place we were once familiar with…a place that we could tell had the intentions of serving the public delicious sushi and hibachi. My mom and I take a peak at the menu to see what we wanted. I, omitting the hibachi option after seeing they no longer fried their rice nor gave noodles and clear soup while maintaining the same ,if not more expensive, prices, decided to order the Chirashi bowl. My mom and dad both decided on hibachi. My dad places the order and receives an email with the time “6:50 pickup.”
My father and I arrive around 6:49, where the lady behind the desk says it will be ready in ten minutes and I am free to have a seat. No worries, I have TikTok downloaded and 10 minutes isn’t a long while. Until 10 minutes pass. Then 20. Then all of a sudden it’s 7:20 and I am still craving that yummy chirashi bowl more than my body craves the air it breathes. I ask the lady once again on my food eta, where she disappears to the back for ten more minutes and emerges with my food. She apologizes for the wait and I, holding back the growls of my stomach and my growing impatience, smile at her and say, “No biggie!”
My dad and I return home excitedly with the goods. As we place the bag on the dinner table, he tells Mom the story of why it took so long. I begin unpacking the bag, pulling out my mom’s soup, my dad’s hibachi, etc etc until I stop with horror. My hand touches the bottom of the bag without having felt my chirashi bowl. r u fr bruh.

My dad yells over the phone at the lady who refuses to get her manager and swears to us that there was 1. No chirashi bowl ordered, 2. No chirashi bowl on the menu, 3. It was definitely in the bag. My dad, more calmly, says that if he doesn’t get a call back in 5 minutes, he is going to drive over there and start raising his voice.
Eventually, my father returns with my sad, tiny bowl at 8 PM. He tells us that what went down was the lady at the desk was on her phone (probably texting or something) and definitely not talking to a manger. My dad then inquires to if shes still on the phone with the manager who was supposed to give him a call back. The manager then steps out of the shadows like batman and swears to my father up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, a, b, start that she put the food in the bag. My father and the manager go back and forth at it for a while before the desk lady emerges from the kitchen holding a bag. As the manger continues pleading her case, my dad points to the bag and inquires, “what is this then?”The manager begins to apologize (not even profusely, maybe like once).

At this current moment, I sit, eating my Chirashi bowl, and this jawn isn’t even all that. I’m going to get my revenge, Sushi Ume.

Peace, love, and prosperity.

I had the steak soba. Outstanding. There was jazz music playing, but not too loud. The lights were dim but not too dim. Service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back.

Vegetarian options: I'm nit a vegetarian but I did notice some obvious vegetarian dishes.

Low key sushi spot tucked away in Tuckahoe. Excellent service, sushi is fresh and delicious. Omakase menu was great!

Dietary restrictions: I have two severe allergies and they were very accommodating. I put this on my reservation before I went.

The BEST sushi in Westchester. I could not have asked for a more perfect experience! All of the fish was absolute top quality, super fresh, and full of wonderful flavor. I was also pleasantly surprised at how generous the portions were, especially considering the quality. Service could not have been more friendly and warm and the atmosphere was stunningly beautiful with gorgeous decorations. Definitely a dining experience to be remembered and enjoy again :)
