Absolutely terrible service. I felt ostracized for not looking Haitian enough to be acknowledged. Ignored me forever, gave me the wrong rice, 3 pieces or griot and macaroni 15$. This place is terrible. Don’t ever go there you can get better bang for buck and service at any Latino bodega in the area. Stay away from this place

I had Soumie for the first time and it was amazing ! The food tasted fresh and good, the service was good. She was very patient with and very honest. I love Hatian food and culture so this place made it even 100% knowing it's right by my home and it's fresh with good flavor. I love it definitely recommended!

This restaurant started off decent but now it horrible from the food to customer service. When I walk in I’m the one with manners to say hello, thank you, and goodbye. The girl in there has a nasty attitude and on top of that the food just don’t taste good at all I gave them many chances because I like to support my Haitian community. I once had meatballs it was fried throughout I bought some turkey with rice last week after a long day at work I should have just bought bones it was dry with barely any meat and when I went back to get some more the girl gave me another little piece of meat I was so upset I just threw it out. Soumie will NEVER get my money again. BAD REPRESENTATION OF HAITIAN FOOD 🤮

I visited Soumie restaurant a few weeks ago, craving some good Haitian food. I was overly disappointed by the poor service I received. Frankly, consumer service is nonexistent. While the person serving the food was somewhat kind, the person in the back, perhaps the cook, was highly disrespectful and grossly unprofessional. I ordered legume that had no meat (beef) left. I asked the server to add some chicken to my order. She did, only for the cook to come and aggressively reprimand her in my presence while she was still putting the food on my plate. I attempted to engage with her and offered to pay for the chicken; she ignored my existence. I took the food anyway and got in my vehicle. I drove home overly angered by the experience but looking forward to getting home to satisfy my craving. I arrived home and opened the food, realizing I was given someone else's order. I ordered white rice, bean sauce, and legume, and I was given rice/beans, and chicken with a few branches of iceberg lettuce. I tasted the food anyway; the food tasted like water. LITERALLY! This is not an exaggeration to say that this place is not worth your time and money. Please avoid this restaurant.

Responding to Manager - Fortunately for you I did not order attitudes for take out! I ordered food and when I got home food was not fresh nor was it any good! Your establishment has BAD reviews for a reason! Get some people that actually want to work and cook good quality fresh food‼️

Zero stars if I could .... the Patties were moldy, and clearly not fresh. Cornmeal had no salt, chicken tasted like it slept over. There's no way this food was made day of sale. Staff was rude with no remorse for the mistake made on their end. Definitely do not recommend
