I’m disappointed with the pricing at this restaurant, where plates range from $22 to $30 for what feels like minimal portions—rice, a few pieces of meat, some vegetables, and a piece of dough bread. It’s concerning that some Black-owned restaurants seem to be charging exorbitant prices without prioritizing affordability for the community. Just 2-4 years ago, prices here were more reasonable, but now the minimum seems to be $20 per plate. In contrast, many Spanish restaurants offer satisfying meals with leftovers for $10-$15. I question the justification for these high prices, especially for dishes like curry or oxtails, which don’t seem to warrant such a steep cost. I hope the restaurant reconsiders its pricing to better serve its community.

Scam artists.
This place is straight-up shady. I ordered through Uber Eats — they accepted the order, started preparing it, then canceled it themselves and tried to flip the blame on me, saying I canceled. Total lie.
They still tried to charge me for food I never received, and Uber confirmed it was the restaurant who canceled. That’s fraud, plain and simple.
If this is how they treat customers, they don’t deserve your business. Avoid this dump.
Will never support this place again.

Best oxtail I’ve ever had. They don’t skimp on the portions too. I highly recommend them!

Tried to call to order food but they just kept hanging up on me. Guess my money isn't good enough for them. I don't understand how you run a business like that. If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT give this place your time or money there are like 6 other places nearby that serve the same type of food.

From prior years, Tony Mac Bakery and Restaurant has been a staple on Long Island when it comes to Caribbean cuisine. I would say that as of 2025, it has come to a complete collapse, with new staff and price increases. This establishment screams urgency in all regards. The price increase has led to smaller portions, I would order curry goat or oxtail and it would literally come with bones, fat-like pieces of meat, and more vegetables and rice than meat. I've given this place an odd number of chances to correct or get back to their original ways, but with conversations about portion sizes or the price increase every 2-3 months, it gives the notion that maybe there are better options elsewhere. Sometimes the value of what you spend doesn't give the value of what you get. In this case, I won't be coming back to Tony Mac anytime in the foreseeable future.

The Shenaeki tone was very soft-spoken polite, not loud or rough. I believe every worker deserves respect irregardless of how long you have been employed for the organization. She was very polite, which was noted. However, the stew was good but a bit salted. Their patties are great, but the chicken taste better. It has the taste of tastees, really. The food is not the best but good. The lunch size each day is reasonable. I would recommend
