The service was a little slow.The server took a while to come back to ask us if we needed anything. Just did not feel like a warm welcoming. When we first went in, nobody asked us. Would we like a table or good evening? Or anything of the sort I had to say it was a party of four before any interaction occurred.

It was not a good experience. My cheese burger was overcooked, and there was no cheese on it. My Santa fe salad was bad. The chicken on it was luke warm, the salad part was made from old lettuce and the crunchy onion on top was soggy.
The Arnold Palmer lemonade was not bad though. The service was lack-luster at best.

I recently visited BJ’s Restaurant in Valley Stream and, unfortunately, the experience was less than ideal. I’m giving it 3 stars, mainly because the food itself isn’t terrible for a middle-tier restaurant. However, the service left much to be desired.

The biggest issue was the extremely poor service. The servers seemed unprofessional, and there was a distinct smell of marijuana on some of them, which may explain the lack of attentiveness and slow response times. It took far too long for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was lukewarm at best.

While the flavors and quality of the food weren’t bad, the cold temperature and the delay in service really overshadowed the meal.

If they could address these service issues and ensure the food is served promptly and warm, this could be a much better dining experience. Until then, I’m hesitant to return or recommend this location.

Worst service I have experienced since I an r been visiting the establishment.
Things that went excellent
1- appetizers delicious
2 - drinks excellent

Things that went wrong
1- the server had to be asked for water
2 - drinks took 17 minutes to arrive
3- service sod not check on the table
4- I ordered pasta the chicken ok but the pasta was cold as if it’s been sitting in the freezer
5- steak was ordered medium rare but arrived well done and the active was nowhere to be found to give feedback
6. When she arrived I told her but nothing could have been done
7- I ordered dessert. I waited and waited I got upset I asked for the check
8 the dessert arrived with the Check , ice cream was like a shake instead of frozen ice cream
9 I still tipped 18%

Been to multiple other locations, and never had an issue. Bar was woefully understaffed. Bartender was super nice, but was alone making drinks for the entire restaurant. Ended up waiting almost 25 minutes to get my bill because he was making a bunch of drinks. The bartender had a super great attitude, they just need to work on staffing for service.

There was a minor issue with the food I ordered, reason for the four stars. However the Server, Neyissah E, did a phenomenal job at resolving the issue. She’s listened to our concerns and immediately followed with a resolution. She’s been patient and kind throughout the entire time we were dining.

First time here and Joanne was my waitress! She was Amazing she explained everything we asked about from food to wine. Overall a great experience always attentive and on top of everything, most definitely will be back!!!

This restaurant has quickly become a staple in our family’s rotation of reliable places to eat. The food is INSANELY delicious and the staff always makes my family feel at home. I have a brother with autism and Danica always comes over to say hello to him and ask how his week is going. We love her so much! This week we had Jamie who was also wonderful.
