This place has great food and service and has undergone some renovation recently,which gives the place a nice fresh look. You can't tell that the bar has been open for 65years as it barely looks a day over 30. They had good live music when we were there and I was also thrilled that they had quick draw lottery to play as I enjoyed the food. A definite gem of a pub. If I lived closer,I would likely frequent this establishment.

Parking: There's street parking...

This is by far the best venue to hear live music these days in New York City. Don’t let the Valley Stream address scare you away, this is actually a shorter ride to get to via the LIRR (since the venue is directly below the elevated station) than it is to get to and from Manhattan to most of the other local venues in the boroughs.
