Worst place ever. I went to brunch. They wanted 45 per person then wanted to upcharge for everything. As a black community you can say brunch and want to upcharge for everything. You wanted 15 extra for chicken wings like yo seriously you wanted 45 for oysters and bacon egg and cheese grits shrimp fish and chicken and waffles and only one type of dessert. This is why I don’t support a lot of black peoples business. It’s price gouging

I attended a holiday party at Meli Melo. It was a nice sized location. If you don’t drive, it’s close to a train station, which is a plus. The staff was very welcoming. The food and drinks were great as well. It was a good vibe all around. I would definitely recommend! I’d actually consider hosting my future event at this location.

Went here for a night out and the service was wonderful! The bartender was so nice and funny with us and the drinks were amazing! The food was great as well! Will definitely be back!

They actually deserve 1 but I’m giving them a 2 because bartender/waiter was really trying. My friend make a reservation since Wednesday for her birthday when we arrived there they didn’t have it on paper. It’s cause a lot of confusion because my friend had the name of the person that took her reservation and the person was present.The food was ok except for the diri cole. They don’t have goody bag. So unprofessional I won’t go back and would not recommend it. Not enough variety of food on Sunday they don’t have lambi, griot, black rice. ??????

Had to wait almost 2hrs to enter the restaurant. Operating hours is 4pm, got there at 420pm and doors was still locked until 530 ish. Went there a 2nd time and same deal, this time i didnt wait. Food was good service was ok, drinks was real good. Atmosphere was good but music was too loud, couldnt even hear my date.
Parking: Parking available in the rear.

I gave it 2 stars because I can't lie. The food is actually good, but not consistently good if that makes sense. Been there 3x and the only thing consistent was weak service. I keep trying to give my people a try but my last visit is what got me here on Google. It was a family dinner that we made reservations for. SMH. No tassot, no legume, no djon djon... You can't request patron in your drinks either unless you're buying the entire bottle. Y'all have to do better. The actual service providers were doing their best but the decision makers here clearly set them up to fail. Get it together.

I'm giving two stars only because the waitstaff and bartender really really tried. However, they can only work with what they are given. The menu was handed to us as if everything was available, we order and oh sorry no tassot,. OK then let's have the pasta, oh sorry no pasta. Ummmm, ok then we'll take 3 legume, ooh sorry only one legume available. Mind you they opened at 4 and we had 730 reservations. The restaurant was completely empty yet the appetizers took an hour to get. Ordered a patron margarita and was told patron is only available if we buy the whole bottle. The fish was a joke at best and insulting at worst. I've never seen poisson gwo sél that was so small! Fried fish, small. I'm talking like the amount of fish on a po' boy sandwich small. The rice and beans was undercooked and literally tasted like water! The meatballs were sour and the one bite my daughter took had her throwing up. Would not recommend! Just stick to the old saying "We have food at home"

My husband and I went a Sunday night ,it was old hits night..great music.. drinks price was ok ? great crowd and atmosphere, clean and spacious..we dance all night till 4am ..we enjoyed our 1st time..we will be going back again...

OMG my first time there and I loved it the food was delicious the service impeccable I remember my server being so friendly so warm I felt like I was at home the food is extremely affordable and they give you big portions so that already tells you that they want you to enjoy the moment by the way the drinks delicious slightly on the strong side which was perfect for me cuz most places water their dreams down they were great I loved it. Take yourself take a date take your entire family it was just beautiful I love that thank you very much to all the staff there.

I’ve been to Meli Melo since it opened because every time I’ve been there the food is always delicious whether it’s a salad or a ham and cheese croissant , or any sandwich has been outstanding ! I bring my family and friends there and my friend from NJ loved it so much that we are going again tomorrow and for her to drive two hours to come to your restaurant you should be flattered ! Horrible service! The worst restaurant! Took them over an hour to serve us our food and charged us for drinks we didn’t even order. The hostess gave us someone else’s reserved table and when the couple arrived, they were upset that they gave away their reserved table to us. The waiter never checked on the us and wasn’t even sure of the prices of the food on the menu. It’s sad that a Haitian restaurant has to be run like this. We came with non Haitian people and this is an embarrassment! I wish I can give 0 stars! Stay away from this horrible establishment! Please do better Meli Melo!
