When I arrived at the counter to place an order
there was a young lady who made eye contact yet turned her head and body from me to yell at serving attendant. No greeting nor immediate assistance! Very rude! I had to wait till she told him off completely getting the frustration off her chest until he was able to ask how he could help me. That was all but 5 min of this nonsense! Smh! Won’t come back again!

Absolute worst, this Jamaican restaurant has lost its touch even with the people who serve the food there. The girl that served food Aug 24, 2025 is absolute useless, she’s unprofessional, feisty and don’t care at all. She either need to be fired or put around the back to wash the pots.

Let’s see where shall I start 🤔 the beginning when they first got started they must of went on break tuh they left all the food uncovered and it was just free range for flies . Second time my grandmother wanted me and my sister to try the food it was terrible like you can tell it was sitting and my stomach knows bad food that food was either old or sitting out. I don’t trust them not one bit I rather a true authentic Caribbean spot.

If I hadn’t peeked over the counter, I might never have realized this was a Jamaican restaurant. Aside from a few small Jamaican flags—which I didn’t immediately spot—the predominantly red signage doesn’t clearly reflect the Jamaican cuisine they offer.
That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my “small” portion of curry chicken with rice and peas, which many other places would probably consider medium-sized. Priced reasonably at $14.39, including a bottle of water, it was great value. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, while the rice and peas were expertly prepared, with just the right touch of coconut to bring out the traditional flavors.
The server, Alicia, was both polite and engaging, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.
My only suggestion is that they make it more obvious to passersby that this is a Jamaican restaurant—perhaps by adding more green, black, and yellow to their signage.

Ordered some jerk chicken along with mac and cheese. The food was okay, I was feeling fine until later that day when I started experiencing food poisoning symptoms and I’m still going through it.

Food was very salty had to throw it away the chicken too salty, it was bake chicken instead of jerk, not even on the grill, rice and peas extremely soft over cook the beans was from a can, the rice need more seasoning. They are embarrassing Jamaica. We love rice and peas with jerk chicken but this is the worst.
Will never buy here again.
We are very disappointed in the food too salty especially the chicken, the jerk it’s bake and not grilled, too much salt. Rice and peas didn’t had too much seasoning. Rice too soft and they used can beans over cooked. Will never by here again.
They are Jamaican but the cook like there are from another country trying to cook Jamaican food.
I absolutely love this place. This is a little hidden gem in the food court. Food is always delicious! The two women and the gentleman that work there are just awesome and always friendly. I literally eat here 4 times a week since I work in the mall area. Curry chicken and stewed beef a hit ! Patties are always tasty 😋. One request please get scotch bonnet sauce please 🙂.

The young lady who service me was nice until. I got the curry goat/ bread fruit.
The curry goat had alot black hair on it.
So I ask her about it & she called the chef
“ he said it was goat hair “Fine.
What you do in your home is your business. When you serve the public every I dot & T cross. I sat right in front eating my food, while another customer asked her about the goat, the server made a comment “It has hair on it”. Laughing. I'm the only customer who tip.
I guess she doesn't know about Food contamination, Food poisoning or Salmonella & the list goes on.
I work for the health department, I could have Conducted a store Audit on the spot.
I won't be back to O.B’s Express but I wish them the best.
