If it wasn’t for a conference I was attending, I would never go here. Rooms were not very clean. Flies here and h the ere in the room. Dirty tub mat. I don’t remember seeing any housecleaning when I was there. It took forever to check in and the. When my room was ready, it was given to someone else

Rooms: Not very clean. Be sure to check the bed for previous guests things. Coworker had dirty socks in her bed

Nearby activities: Besides the out of date casino, there’s nothing to do in that area

Walkability: You definitely need a car

Checkout - 2024-10-10 - 4 Stars
Checkin - 2024-10-09

Check in was a breeze. The front desk staff was very friendly, no issues.

Staff - 5 Stars for all the staff that we encountered.

Fitness room - Only used one of the treadmills and there was an AC in front of it that I had to block the air blasting at me. There should also be a security camera in the fitness room. No excuse on not having one there.

Room was on the 4th floor. Looked like it was recently updated. Nice and clean. But there were some maintenance issues that should have been taken care of long ago. Hole in back of bathroom door from the room door lock. Just a bit tacky if you ask me.

Continental breakfast - you can do so much better for the guests that stay here.

Hotel Maintenance crew seems to be lacking. Carpets need to be cleaned on each floor and in the hotel lobby. Elevators need total maintenance on the look, edge of doors look marked up and scuffed up.

All in all this is an older hotel that needs maintenance and upkeep. Definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Only went fir a conference. Food was average but everyone else seemed to like this typical hotel cafeteria style food. The hotel staff was excellent and polite respectful and kind.

I just went to the gaming casino and this lady that worked at the promotion desk, long brown hair and glasses was rude. I asked her what date it was, was it Sept 15? ,and her response was "I am aware of the date" and handed her a coupon and she said "I can't do anything with this". Why so rude? Whatever happenned to professional customer service??

I would not stay here again. When checking in there was a large group of employees chatting with “Mike” at the reception counter about food in purses or steeling food? Our room was dirty, it reeked of pot and there were tons of flies. The beds are like a pile of mashed potatoes, soft and mushy. It was a very uncomfortable night’s sleep. The shower liner is plastic instead of a washable fabric liner. The bathroom vent is caked with lint and grime. None of the signage available in the room is accurate, ie the days and times for pool use, complimentary breakfast, minimum charges for room service all contradict each other. I joked with security that the casino was cleaner than our room. Gross stay, won’t be back.

This is a decent older facility. The rooms were fine, they only offer a continental breakfast, which always disappoints me, and they have harness racing, which is cool. The casino only has slots, and we always say that's not a "real" casino. But it's smoke-free inside, and the slots are well maintained. And as a new member, they gave me $10 of free play.

Plenty of food places, quiet, safe area, and we used it as a place close enough to the Watkins Glen Nascar Race, but still a couple of hours away.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I booked this hotel because it was listed at a heavily discounted price on Expedia and I was trying to save some money and I soon found out why it was discounted. At first glance, the room appeared updated and clean, once we got settled in, it became apparent that it was not. The beds were much smaller than anticipated (maybe a full but definitely smaller than a queen) and the pillows were dirty, some looked like they had drool on them. The bathroom sink would not drain, at all and I had to go down to the front desk twice to ask to have maintenance look at it before anyone came and looked. The first day, our towels had been replaced but the beds were not made up and it didn’t appear that the floors had been vacuumed either so I’m not sure what is included in “room service” but all we received were a few towels and nothing else. The second day, we received no room service at all? The beds were not made, no towels were brought, the trash was not emptied, nothing had been touched. The bathroom door was abnormally squeaky, so anytime anyone had to use the bathroom or tried to be quiet, the door would wake everyone up if being used at night. Considering we paid $465 roughly for a 3 night stay, I’m not impressed at all with the room, the service or the location. I will not be staying here again and wish I would’ve spent more money to stay elsewhere, I guess that’s what I get for trying to save a few bucks.
