It bums me out that people don't know what food is. First let's start, you're in Verplanck, you can mix dirt and it's good for the local people, they never been out of the skirts, second, the pizza is a bar pizza it's not the fulfilling of the best of the best, third, look at the menu the menu never changed. It's always the same old thing, for I don't know how many years how about a risotto or something that we could like say wow! Nah! You true Italians are as true as The words you do not speak in Italian, your Italian culture is as Americanized than any other things I ever heard about, you guys wanna Italian restaurants you have to leave the plank LOLto go because there is nothing Italian here no more or Irish

Here is the easiest way to describe this place. STRAIGHT UP HOMEMADE ITALIAN FOOD! This is 5-STAR Italian deliciousness! I was last here about 20 years ago but to be honest, like most, I have zero reason to ever be in Verplanck. This evening I was down there and made the immediate decision to dine-in the second I saw their big sign on Broadway. The place looks basically the same as I remember, very neat, clean and of course with a stellar menu. I observed Carmine (at the bar) preparing some amazing looking cocktails! Great service, well priced, friendly staff and great dishes! One thing I want to point out is how the first forkful of my cold antipasto salad appetizer immediately tasted soooo different. I wasn't expecting fresh, 'sharp' provolone -- no sliced ham here kids. Tonight was an unexpected treat! I will again grab my passport and cross the border into Westchester to spend more time here! Mangia!

It was a mediocre place. Very dated. Bartender was extremely friendly. Which was nice cuz he was the first person to greet me. When I walked in. I had to wait for my boyfriend. The food was your typical cookie cutter Italian food. We had mozzarella sticks that you could have gotten out of a box. My shrimp scampi with scallops over rigatoni had so much garlic. You couldn't taste anything else, not even the seafood. It was in a small bowl so it was messy. My boyfriend's dish was tasteless, he said. He's Italian from the Bronx. We had another appetizer that I can't even remember what it was. And the main thing that really bothered me was that the food was rushed out. We were not even finished with our appetizers and dinner was placed on the table. Everything felt rushed. It was not an enjoyable night.

Very good pizza and food. I haven't been there in many, many years. On Fridays, a bunch of us from Indian Point would head to the bar at Paradise for beers and pizza. After a while, we realized the bartender was totally hosing us, double charging, etc. None of us ever went back.

I’ve lived in the area my whole life and somehow as an adult, tonight was my first night at Paradise. We were met with the utmost adorable old school hospitality behind the bar, what a gem he was (wish I knew his name!). We ordered a half meatball half shrimp & garlic pie, stuffed clams, and penne bolognese - all to go. First of all, the pizza is worth waiting for, WOW, best local pie I’ve have in a LONG TIME - run, don’t walk! The cream puffs for dessert, homemade… omg, just make room for us every weekend. What a fabulous old school gem, still turning heads. Go to Paradise, you won’t regret it.

Started out with an old fashioned drink, thumbs up. Dinner rolls were soft, crumbly, warm, like fresh made, probably. Then had the Eggplant and Veal parmesan with pene pasta. Each meal came out steaming hot, like right out of the oven. Delicious sauce, cooked perfectly. Waitress was very friendly and personable and made sure everything was good for us at the table. I had to slow down on the bread and the apps to save room for the main meal, good thing I did, everything on my plate I made disappear. More than worth it in my opinion. The atmosphere was like eating inGrandma's home friendly , inviting. Definitely gonna go back for more in the future.

This local establishment is definitely a hidden gem!!! We were passing through the area on our boat & decided to have dinner here. We sat at the bar & had some drinks and a FANTASTIC meal & even better experience!! The bartender was sweet & delightful, the owner, Joe, came out numerous times to chat, deliver food & follow up on how we were doing. The side house salads were a perfect portion & tasty! The entries were absolutely amazing, great portions & full of flavor! We then somehow managed to squeeze some room in for desert. My husband & I shared one of the homemade cream puffs. OH MY GOODNESS!! So yummy!!We just really enjoyed the drinks, food & atmosphere!! We will definitely stop back by next time we are in the area. The pizza looks amazing too!!! Thanks for the hospitality Joe!!
