My only complaint about Root is that the one time my husband ordered a bacon grilled cheese for $9.99 he received a single slice of cheese and a half piece of bacon on toasted bread. The food is usually much better than that. My favorite is the Bananas Foster milkshake and the salmon on brioche.

I think don’t 5 stars is enough to rate my experience at root 31. When I arrived I was kindly greeted by a white and brunette girl named Claire. She made ordering my food easy and when I needed extra napkins she brought them over with a smile. Not to mention the food was delicious. I really recommend the grilled cheese. Root 31 was definitely a trip well worth and I encourage all to try!??

I had a great experience! The cashier working was a brunette and I think her name might have been Claire, anyways she was so kind and helpful. She is a hard worker and had a great personality. The food was great! I will definitely be coming back here.

Visited this location about a week ago. Food was good but there was this one customer who was absolutely horrendous. The sweet girl behind the register (white, brunette) was doing everything she could to manage the situation and provided us with excellent service. However, that one customer really ruined the atmosphere for everyone. But I guess that is life. Food was about an 8/10 but the effort for service was by far an 11/10. Will return.

Whether I have called an order in or visited the restaurant in person, the staff has always been friendly, personable and professional. And the food is to die for!!! Everything I've ordered so far has been out of this world! One of my absolute favorite things is the cold, crunchy dill pickles.....strange I know but they are delicious! Thank you so much for being located at the best mall in the area!
Lots of choices, friendly staff. There a lots of light pastry and lunch choices. Pizza and paninis are also available. Lattes and cappuccinos are great choices, but you can also buy a hot coffee for $2.15 incl. tax (choices incl a house blend, a flavored option, and decaf) with free refills. I had a hot Italian macaroon flavored coffee, while I relaxed and read my book. There's extensive seating available, both tables and booths. Very nice place.
