One of my favorite places to eat from. I’ve been coming here often for years and have never had a problem with anything I ordered or the great service. Fresh, healthy options in a food court with much unhealthier choices. I work at the mall, and as Shaka’s back door is open all day I can often see the behind-the-scenes. Their whole place is extremely clean, which can’t be said of other places around.

Excellent fast and healthy meal. My 11 year-old daughter said it was the best açaí bowl she’s ever had. When you’re traveling it seems like you’re surrounded by burgers and pizza and friend chicken sandwiches and this was such a welcome break with delicious poke bowls (and poke burritos). The smoothies were also solid. This food court also has a beautiful carousel for the kids as well!

Vegetarian options: Would be very easy to eat here as a vegetarian. Everything is fresh, customizable and made to order.

Parking: This place is in a mall food court, parking lot is huge and just outside.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of easy options for kids.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy accessibility in the mall food court

Denied us juice because they just washed the juicer. Their store closes at 8 and we asked for a juice at 6pm and they denied us because they had just washed their juicer. That’s sick

Let me begin by saying I love ? Shaka. I really enjoy the food. I come every Friday for a bowl. I always get it to go. I got home today and opened my take out bag. Opened the lid to my bowl and realized the Spicy Salmon was not there....nor was my sauce on the side. Unfortunately I live 20 minutes away so I cannot come back to remedy the situation. Hope next week my order will be correct.

This is my go-to place for açaí bowls. A little pricey (but what isn’t pricey in this economy?) but definitely the best açaí bowls in the area! Their boba is also good, better than the Taichi across the food court. Service is fast and professional, not always super friendly but that’s fine. Seems like a family-run business. I can’t speak to their other food, but people seem to like it!

I’m a Black woman and will never eat at Shaka! Yesterday I went to get some water for my friend who felt dehydrated after walking the mall and was sitting at a nearby table in the food court; so with my credit card in hand I walked up to the counter where the owners, (male and female Asian couple) were standing behind to the right and in conversation.I stood there right in front of them thinking they would stop and acknowledge me. They didn’t; so with my nicest indoor voice said “Hi.” No acknowledgment. A little louder I said, “Hi, may I have 2 bottles of water please?” They continued in conversation and ignored me. It was as if I were invisible. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it must be a very important conversation so I’ll wait a little until they finished talking.Just then, 2 Caucasian women were approaching from behind me on the left and immediately they stopped talking, greeted them with smiles and pleasantries, and took their orders! I was so stunned! I said, “You saw me standing there right in front of you and you acted like you didn’t see me?!” They said nothing! No apology, no acknowledgement, not even an indication that they heard or saw me even though I was standing there right in front of them. I walked away livid and went somewhere else. My mistake was I should’ve walked away sooner but wanted to be close-by for my friend.Yes, blatant racism (even minority again minority as in this case) is alive and well, and sadly, even thriving. The best way to retaliate or to bring awareness to racism is not with violence but to let as many ppl as possible know the unwritten, unposted, overt racist rules and behaviors of these people and places which is, “We do not serve your kind.” So spread the word if that’s what they want!

CONFIRMED: THE SUSHI IS PREVIOUSLY FROZEN “SUSHI GRADE” FISH. The texture of the raw fish is weird—like it’s been frozen. Gamey. Grainy. Kind of tough as sushi goes too. Small portions for price and quality. Cannot taste difference between salmon and tuna and they are supposed to taste different.
